Good deal... I got 100 a few weeks ago for like $8 with shipping. I am glad I decided to try and get those off the Bay even if it took me three days of auctions to win one ridiculously low. It was much cheaper than getting from the local store. Good thing they weren't replated! :happy102

Ahh... you do make strops... I was planning on slapping together a cheapo home made strop for when my straight comes in until I get a good strop... Wanna work out a trade involving an old spice mug?

I am still in, but I tell you if we don't get some entries soon, I am going to be very depressed. I am almost ready to put an entry in myself just to increase the competition (I know - I don't qualify).

Perhaps that wouldn't be a bad idea but maybe down to March or April 23rd.

Good morning everyone... I am still tingling from that freeze shave. Woo Hoo! I love that combo (MB Awakenings, WH with peppermint EO, Osage Rub) I just stopped using it when it was 10 below with winds.:freezing
Great shave from the open slant and iridium blade as well. Off to a good start.

Life is full of coincidences... due to the freeze thread I decided to do a freeze shave for today. Only after shaving did I realize that I am teaching about glaciers today! Mwahahahaha!

Good morning everyone. Haven't been sleeping right for a while and now my schedule is pretty messed up. Passed out at 8 last night just to wake up about 1am. Then a little nap at about 4am until 5:30am. Blah. Once the rest of my head wakes up, I'm thinking a really long, hot shower and shave is in order.

Good morning Bill! I'd be a little better off if more places were open later. I've been on nights for a while now and I still get screwed up when I have to run errands on my days off. The world just doesn't seem to operate on 3rd shift time.

 

Agreed. And some people have no idea how hard it is to operate on little to no sleep when you are on those shifts too. Or how hard it is to get off of them.

Yesterday was my last night till next Tuesday, I came home and napped off and on till the kids came home, ate dinner with them and stayed up till @ 2am. Slept till 6am and hope I am now turned around to day shifts for this weekend.

 

You know....I was wondering about that....and quite honestly it was something that's been in the back of my mind since the inception. One thing I seem to remember Rolls doing was PIFing stuff, or cutting huge deals on things for rookies. I know we were trying to ensure that the PIF went to a member who seemed like they would stick around (hence the post and time requirements), but maybe we lost sight of the spirit of Rolls and PIF in the process.

I've seen quite a few new members lately who seem like they're in for the long haul, large post counts already, jumping right in, helping out, etc....

Maybe lose the time requirement, but keep the post count requirement? Actually, now that I look at it...maybe we did it backwards? 50 posts since Feb 23rd? One post a day would get you way more than that!

Maybe check all the entrants post count as of now, bump the post count requirement to 100 (as long as any current entrant will meet that - not fair to change requirements and bump them out...), and drop the time requirement altogether....

Also, maybe open it up to World Wide....I should probably be able to ship aftershave overseas - I've been researching it quite a bit lately and it seems as long as the receiving country allows it to come in, it's OK to send it.....besides - I think I'm the only one doing aftershave, so if the winner wants we can work something out...

Very nice. That makes me eligible, but when I look at my very ample collection of stuff, I get the feeling that someone else deserves that PIF more than I do, and that it wouldn't be right if I happened to win. I hope it goes to a deserving person. I've gotten my fair share of PIF'd items through TSD along with excellent advice and amazing deals in the BST section. Except those Cadbury mini eggs. I crave those on a nightly basis. :happy102
