SOTD and Review, 19 November 2019

Day 7 of 8 of my Stirling Soap sample tour brings me to Coniferous, a nice, lightly scented blend of various conifers. The most prominent notes to my untrained nose are Scots pine and fir - it's not as pronounced or bold a scent as I expected, but pleasant, nonetheless. And, as I keep saying, the performance of Stirling soaps is consistent no matter the particular scent. My shave today brought me back to my trusty Voskhod blades after a foray into some other less-than-stellar performers. Good to have Voskhod back in my Merkur 34C. So much better!

Pre-shave: hot shower, hot towel, and Pacific Shaving Company Bamboo Pre-shave scrub
    Razor: Merkur 34C HD
    Blade: Voskhod (#1)
    Brush: Omega Pro 49
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements Ceramic Lather Bowl
    Soap: Stirling Coniferous
    Aftershave: Stirling Coniferous Splash

Your photos and collection of gear are both outstanding, Chris! That brush is beautiful.

Thanks Perry. It's an outstanding knot as well as cool woods ( I'm not sure what they are anymore....maybe padouk and rosewood?)
