I have some Zorrik in my stash but haven't tried them yet. Any comparison to Laser Ultra? I felt the laser was similar to Derby.
    Fantastic shave Gary!
    Very nice Terry!
    Oh so shiny!
    Dinner great shaves there Matthew!
Wonderful photo and shave Clint! Sorry to hear traffic sucked this morning.
    Awesome photo Perry!
    Beautiful brush and razor Mark!
Nice shave and good looking lather Danny!
    Very good, Jeff!

Nice photo Joseph! A question and a suggestion.

    1. Did you put the blade tab under the spring clip on the open side of the head?

    2. When closing the razor I usually put pressure on the top cap with my thumb as I'm tightening the TTO knob. This usually ensures that cap is completed closed and that there is an even gap all the way across.

Nice shave Evan! Sorry to hear about your long night and irritation.
Beautiful shot Blair! An O ring on the base of the knot might help it not be such a hog.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

They are similar to the Laser. I would say the Laser might be a bit smoother but it's a slight difference. I tend to classify blades in categories now more than individual rankings, although my top few I still have rankings for. Top tier would be Voskhod, Sharp Star, Ladas, Rapiras - the Moscow blades along with the St. Petes - Nacet, GSB, and that line. Next in line would be Bic, Feather (yeah, I know.....but I find them a bit rougher than the Russians), Personna, the Israeli blades. Third tier we're into the Derby, Shark, etc. and most of the Super-Max/Vidyut blades. The Malhotra blades under Super-Max fit in there too though I prefer the Vidyut line over that. Once you're through those blades it's a downhill run to the bottom which, obviously, ends in the infamous Flying Eagle/Tiger debate.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Ever-Ready 1912
    Gem SS PTFE
Oumo Titan Candy Cane (30mm SHD Manchuria, Cruiser Class)
Stirling 2019 Dirty South Shavers soap and AS

New brush up today. The 30mm Oumo Titan with the SHD Manchuria two band fan knot. I did a couple of cleansing lathers to defunk the knot a bit and man did it bloom out. The knot face is huge when face lathering it covered the whole side of my face. Even though the knot opened up so much it still was very stiff and had huge backbone. The tips did gel and were velvety soft. 30 seconds of soap loading was enough to overflow the brush with glossy Stirling goodness. 3 passes and the baby was in hand. A generous splash of the matching AS and I am smooth and smell great, Declan approves!

    Hump day!

Declan looks as if he's doing well today. Great picture!

Congrats on the new brush! Very nice!
I'm not having high hopes of getting my Oumo brush. I ordered on the 11th and it hasn't shipped yet. Less than 20hrs and Aliexpress will issue an automatic refund.

    Weds NOvember 20

No Repeat (mostly) NOvember. No repeats so far except for scuttle, blades, and alum. Up today, my E1 Redtip.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
    Soap - Stirling Mountain Man
    Brush - ThatDarnRob
    Blade - Gillette Platinum (8)
    Razor - Gillette Redtip E1 (1959, Q1)
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Stirling Mountain Man A/S

    Shave rating 5 of 5

A really good shave this morning but I don't know why I would have expected less. The razor is great. The blade although getting old, is still doing the job. The lather was excellent. All worked in concert to provide a 2 pass BBS shave. Very happy. The alum was a little vocal on my neck area. The A/S smells nice.

Happy NOvember and great shaves everyone.

An ok deal. 44 dollars, regularly 60. I was debating about granting an extension. I think I will. I really like the looks of the brush and based on your review they're great performers. This is the one I ordered:[IMG]

That's a nice brush! And the knot alone it's worth the price.
