I'm thinking Saturday for its first use. Finish the month with it.
Do each of the baseplates vary in gap and or exposure? I couldn't find that information.

 

Sounds like a great plan. Strangely enough there is no info on the website. I have not tried the SB plate but it is reported to be the mildest. The Hybrid OC with the straight openings is the wildest. The Hybrid OC with the curve to the grooves is the middle one of the three. I want to go back to the wild plate and use a 7 o'clock yellow instead of the feather. I am really looking forward to seeing what you think.

I'll start with the wildest. I'm anxious to see how it shaves.

 

The wild one had a lot of blade feel to me. Other than a few weepers it was pretty smooth. I think changing from a Feather to a 7 o'clock Yellow would make it really work for me as a daily shaver. I was really impressed with the knurling on the handle as well.

 

I agree on the knurling. Just the little bit I've handled it it feels pretty grippy.

The color of the handle is a little outside my normal comfort zone but the turning is first rate. Without lathering the knot reminds me a lot of a CH2 synthetic in a fan shape. I am looking forward to giving this one a go.

Used a top shim on my Mk2.0 today, it helps keep the cap tighter and I think smooths things out a bit.
