I finished off a back-to-back round of Central Texas Soaps' Week-end Rodeo this morning. Using that this morning, with its unseasonable warm temperature, was the complete antithesis of @Yehuda D using a Frost-Byte soap on New Year's Day. Well, I wouldn't use it in the summer of course. Just wanted to get it going some. And once again I got great lather,, this time from the work of the Jayaruh #59 brush. Good aftershave feel. It's like I'm at a Rodeo!!

Beautiful picture and thorough report, Clint. Have a great day! P.S. I agree about the MdC. Very good soap, but for the $$...not worth it, imo.

    RyX DoH!

    Thank you Daniel and Clint!
Thanks Jason! Already I'm seeing the same vehicle all over town where they used to be just another SUV.
Thanks Gary! I may try punching out a bigger hole on a blade just to see how that works. I looked through the Owners Manual last night. So many buttons and features! Daughter was impressed with the factory 5 disc CD player. I'm happy for the upgrade from a pair of 33 year old factory speakers in the Ranger.
Thanks Joe! I gave it my best and did squeeze some concessions from the dealer. I'm sure he made a couple of bucks, and I got a new battery installed.
Thanks Charlie! Having a reliable ride is going to beat the "wonder if it works today" lifestyle. My little Mayberry city bus system was not a viable alternative.
Maybe we need to upgrade to a Danish system?

    Barrister & Mann Leviathan~~Simpson Polo~~Ralf Aust
I wasn't sure with what products I was going to shave today, but one thing I did know, I wanted an A+ soap.

With the Barrister & Mann, you are guaranteed a great lather.
    Superior slickness...
    Scintilating shininess...
    Supernatural scent...
Now, the Leviathan scent is polarizing---I will admit, but for Primo's nose, it is complex and quite agreeable.
Which, if I may say so myself, is all that matters...
I would have to classify B&M as one of the BEST soaps on the market, with a very reasonable price point,
lovely packaging, unique scents, and excellent customer service.
Right up there with Stirling and Eufros.
The Aust, which I maligned when I first received it, has since become a favorite in my straight stable.
Strops easily and keeps a wicked, yet smooth edge.
The PL10 is approaching too large...yes, too large.
I saw a PL14 on a B/S/T thread and can only imagine what a behemoth that must be.
Nevertheless, Primo got a face-full of lathery goodness and with enough lather to 3-pass shave
a basketball team, also achieved an excellent shave.
    No untoward events, whatsoever.
Finished with two healthy splashes of the AS and Primo is lookin' and smellin' good.
Hope you all are as well.

    Great shave, Jason!
That's pretty much the same as the Finnish one, except that the one here isn't cool. But i don't really feel like i would need a car, so it works quite well.

Very cool Jason! So that’s a Stirling knot you transplanted? I’m still searching for the tobacco aroma I like best. Tabac not quite it for me either.

DSC_0777.JPG I bought a new brush (Vulfix 404). Never tried a mixed knot before. The smell isn't very pleasant, but it felt decent when i palm lathered some soap.

Thank you Joseph. I will likely be purchase another MdC Original when this one is done. Given how long it lasts it is cheaper than almost all the artisan soaps. SV soaps will be the only reason I might not purchase MdC again.

Sorry for the late posting, I’ve been running around getting ready for our flight to Las Vegas to celebrate Thanksgiving w/ my wife’s family. Great face and noggin shave today w/ a new razor I’ve been waiting for since August! The RazoRock DLC(Diamond-Like Carbon) Coated 316L Stainless Steel Lupo. Unfortunately, due to its popularity, and limited distribution, Joe at Italian Barber only releases this razor in small batches and they go like hot cakes. I won’t say anymore other than to recommend you see ‘Ruds Shave’s review’ on YouTube. There are two reviews - one of the aluminum version, and one of this razor, which he’s going to put up as artisan razor of the year. So make sure you watch the SS Lupo Review. I will attest that it’s one smooth-shaving highly efficient razor! Easy 3 pass BBS. I’m getting spoiled. The last three razors I’ve used have been top performers (Cooper Monobilt, Jones Shake Sharp, and this modern one, the Razorrock DLC SS Lupo).

    SOTD 11/26/19

RAZOR: Razorock DLC Coated SS Lupo
    BLADE: Suneko
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by face and noggin scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat salted w/ 4 Drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with MWF brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Fine Lavender Pour Homme AS Splash
