The dealership always wins, otherwise they would be out of business. As long as you are happy with the purchase price, the overall deal and the car, then you did well. Again, congrats and enjoy your new wheels, Rick!

Excellent shave, Joseph! I remember when you were meh with your Aust and I said that I was surprised because my 2 Austs were great shavers.

Thank you, Blair. Yes, this Stirling knot came in a standard butterscotch handle in a trade from @BaylorGator. This handle originally had a TGN Boar in in, but I found it didn't have enough loft. Out went the Boar, in went the Finest.
As for good Tobacco scents, I would list my faves as Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender, JOHS Tobacco Bay Leaf and First Canadian Maximo Gomez in any order. All are different and distinct. Actually, you can add Stirling Gentleman to that list too, but SWMBO has banned it...

Limiting this purely to cost, and not quality of product or scent-
I find that when we talk of how expensive a soap is, we are talking of the initial cost of a tub, or in some cases even price per ounce. Some triple milled soaps, imho, change that narrative by the ridiculous number of shaves you can get from them. SV soaps come to mind- I have yet to seriously make a dent in any of my SV pucks. Fairly expensive up front? Sure. Cost per shave? Different story.

I would think cost per shave would be similar among soaps. Tripled milled soaps give you more shaves, thus the justification for the price increase. It really depends on the shaver what is considered a good value. At this moment, I would not go over $20 a tub/puck because I am satisfied with my cadre of soaps in my den. Frankly, is performance, slickness and cushion that much better to justify a purchase of top tier soaps? $4-$5/oz for shaving soap is too extravagant for me. However, I bless the shavers who can and enjoy the top tier shave soaps.

Very nice combos as always, Keith. Is there a purpose to those metal inlays on the Silverloaf blade? Or are they for visual effect?
Another very nice photo, Daniel. The Proraso Red is a very nice scent indeed.
Love the Lemondrop! The razor looks pretty stunning as well, Jim.
Which knot is that in the Everready, Gary? It looks like a DC Cosmetic Tuxedo Flattop. I couldn't get it to work well for me.
    Yup.
Very informative, Bill. Nice scales on that razor as well.
A great start to the day, Clint. SWMBO's seal of approval is always a good thing!
Fine gear, Mark, and a better pic!
If you like a scent, it doesn't really matter if others don't, imho. Lovely combo, Joseph.
I have an APShave Co mixed Finest/Boar knot awaiting a handle. Others on here have given them good reviews.
High praise indeed on the razor, Jeff. Off to the IB website... Hey, they have Black Friday deals on Fine products too...

I've been to IB today. I was looking for the SS Lupo. No luck. I did load up on Feathers though.

I think we are perhaps talking about 2 different things, Joe. You are talking about price per oz, and I'm talking about the cost per shave. Let me put it this way- If you spend $20 and get 50 shaves, or spend $40 and get 100 shaves, are they not the same thing?
You mentioned quality- slickness, cushion etc- I didn't add that in the equation. Was just trying to point out that many triple milled soaps get a ridiculous number of shaves from them.

Thanks, Jason! I’m loaded up on Snake Bite and Cryogen. My wife can’t tolerate fragrance. So i’m limited to scent-free products. It is truly an awesome razor and easily as good as if not superior to razors that are 2 to 3 times the price. it’s going on vacation with me along with the Shake Sharp.
