I have been busy with work and such and not posting much around here. Here is a link to the Williama thread across the street. There are a few more post there. http://theoriginalsafety2.com/thread/21/williams-mug-shave-soap-club?page=78
Thank you. It is one of my 2 GEM Juniors...other has a baton handle. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I did not...it is how I purchased it. It is not quite like my Valet handles and I have a coworker who bought one of the bay with exactly the same handle. I like the balance and feel of the longer handle. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
does anyone know if Williams ever made their Soap in wooden bowls, like that shown in the attached Christmas advert? If so was it the same or different formula Soap? I know Williams made Soap in wooden bowls for Currier & Ives. I've found one like in the attached advert, and the Soap work great. Was Currier & Ives version the same or different formula Soap?
Doing great Fuzzy! Up in the Allegany mountains in Pennsylvania visiting some of my wife's kin folks. It is cold!
In the process of moving last month, I found a unused puck of Williams. It is in the box wrapped in paper. I can't remember if the puck I bought at the store was wrapped or just in a box. Do I have an old goodie or a newer one?
Current production comes unwrapped in the box. With a paper wrapper inside the box, it's probably vintage, but we need more info. What is first in the ingredients label? What city is listed on the box? Is there a UPC?
There is no ingredients listed. Its from Cranford, NJ and on the inside of the flaps of the box, they are advertising for Ice Blue Aqua Velva. Just smelling it in the paper, it's not a really nice smelling soap. Studying the box, I'm gonna guess its old as the price stamped on it is .19 cents. LOL. I guess I should have looked a little closer.
Just send it to me and I will send you a brand new modern puck If like one of my vintage pucks, it absorbed the smell of the antique shop I found it in. The smell has lessened as I have used it and has not been a hindrance to creating great lather. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
