I believe this may be an Ern? It has the sword sans crown. A nice heavy ,hollow ground 6/8 Solingen shaver. Looks almost NOS. My pics suck, but the grinding marks are still clear, as is the etching on the show side. No rust, pitting or patina. I really hated to shell out the fifteen bucks for it though.....

I always thought it was... I "cataloged" it under the Scimitar trademark - and that was Ern.
    Beautiful example Keith!

Thanks, Tom. I do believe I was the first to put it to the hones. Pins needed a little tightening, but a damn fine shave it gives!

Well truthfully, with shipping it was actually more. But it is an electric straight razor. So it has to be spam this thanksgiving;)

 I missed "Electric" on the first post. Cool.

So....... You could always do a Go Fund Me to cover for the shipping losses. :)

Just one has the normal pivot end issue, but overall a nice set.
    Happy hunting.

Part of a two razor deal. The photos were blurry, and the description said nothing. I rolled the dice, and it cost $6.23, including shipping(1/2 of what I paid). It was tree topping hairs from the start. For its age, it is in great shape.

Came with the above razor, so it cost $6.23. Same as the above too, tree topping arm hair, without any stropping. I find this contraption interesting. It still works, and holds tight, to the blade. It even has a hole in the end, so the guard rotates away from the blade, when it is time to remove it for stropping.

I think I've seen 1 or2 of these around. Found it at local antique shop on a 15% off Black Friday sale.

I know nothing about this razor. The inlaid mother of pearl on the shank and tail caught my eye. Doubt if it is real but it and the scales are intact. Geometricly it looked good and not buggered up by a sharpening hack.

Rust is a but of a problem. Some pitting. I'm new at this and would be grateful for advice from skilled hands at abatement of the same.

I put it on the coticule to see if I think I can get an edge on it. There are a few spots I need to work down to below some rust, but I think I can work an edge up.

The guy said I'm the first one that ever asked him about straight razors (wow). He was surprised to find I intend to shave with it. He took my number and is going to to give me a call when he finds that 'bag' of straight razors he picked up at a sale some time back. :)

There was one more straight at the shop I didn't care for, a Valet, an Enders (tall skinny one), an a New SC.

These are my two latest acquisitions. The one with green scales I had scales made for a beau brummel no35. It was the first razor I restored. I intentionally left a lot of the patina on the blade mostly because I like the contrast of the dark and light steel. With the new scales I love this razor.

I love the look of those covered tangs, and if that is solid on both sides... very cool find Bill!

Another cool tang feature... the hammered tang. Those BB's have always alluded me :). Cool scales.

I have two more. One needs to be restored and new scales. The second one just needs to be honed and is in the original box.
