    Tuesday NOvember 26

No Repeat (mostly) NOvember. No repeats so far except for scuttle, blades, and alum. Up today, my 1948 British Aristocrat #21.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
    Soap - Haslinger Schafmilch
    Brush - Brad Sears
    Blade - Gillette Platinum (9)
    Razor - Gillette British Aristocrat #21 (1948)
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Floid A/S balm

    Shave rating 5 of 5

Needed a good easy shave today as my face still hurt a bit from my shave yesterday. The Schafmilch soap was the perfect soap for my situation - extra slick, moisturizing and I made sure not to goof up on the lather today. A 2 pass shave, WTG and XTG, with the #21 and I couldn't tell that yesterday's shave was a dud. This is a really good soap. The alum was a little vocal on my neck area but that was it. I thought the A/S balm would have a stronger scent that it does.

Happy NOvember and great shaves everyone.

    NOVember 2019

    November 30
    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle
    Blade - [IMG]
Soap - Stirling Electric Sheep [IMG]
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Doesn't seem like it should be time yet, but here it is. November 30th and the final shave of my No-Repeat NOVember. I've had 26 shaves this month and have used a different razor, blade and soap for each one. I still have more to go but.....this one will end the month. I saved the Toggle to the final day and paired it with the Rapira Platinum Lux. Fine blade in a very fine razor. Add Stirling Electric Sheep for mutton tallow and let the JR#54 make the lather and you have a great shave to lead into Decadent December as well. It doesn't get much better than this. Three passes to a BBS with zero irritation that I can find...I'm a very happy camper.

Thanks again to everyone for your great contributions this month!!! Hope you all have a great Sunday tomorrow!

Thanks, Doug. With the Toggle being about 1/2 longer, I get, lack of a better term in my mind at the moment, leverage as I place my pinkie under it to help with the angle. Seems the setting of 5 on the toggle shaves me a little closer than the setting of 5 on my Fatboy. But with both being able to dial in the setting as each blade is different, both are great razors.
