there is a cult like following of the 240 series here.i have installed newer turbo engines and ford 5.0 v-8s in them for clients..many still around in great shape..some have 500,000 km+ on their odometers..

I knew a guy that had a rotory engine.
Ran 25,000 miles, never ran again.
    A real wonder whirl engine.
He scraped the car for 100 bucks, 2 years old.

A few tech's tore into it, everything was working right. Good compression, timing right, all was proper. It just wouldn't run.
The last time it ran down the road, it was behind a tow truck, headed to the junkyard.
Brother Z. didn't really want it, they never lasted long enough to replace parts on them. Straight to the crusher, a proper end.

Going from a shavette to a straight will be easy, just need to find the right angle.

They are quite popular here as well. Haven't seen any v8 swaps, but fuel is quite expensive here.
W123 Mercs are fairly popular as well. The diesels especially.
Of course the majority of cars are fairly new, but it's fun to see some classics once in a while.

Bill, it was actually one of the nefarious kids at my school that carried out this despicable act. I came upon the scene shortly after the deed was done and thought it was funny. Neither one of us was smart or wise on that day.

I still have my slipstick and my Buck 112 from High School. My Bride made me get rid of my shirts because the collars were too big.

Ha, i have a Buck 110. :D They are not common at all over here.

Those Buck folders are classics, Daniel. I'm glad I kept mine. These days, I prefer carrying my Spydero Sage 1 or Sage 2 or my Victorinox Alox Pioneer. What is your favorite everyday carry knife? I remember you mentioned your Opinel recently.

My shave for the morning. Sadly i still could not get a comfortable shave with the straight felt more like it was pulling out my hair than anything. so i switch back to the shavette and i will try some more stropping tonight for another go tomorrow.

    Nice shave, Paul.

I'm also a fan of using Bay Rum in cooler weather. Once I power through this jug of Floid Vigoroso (down well past the half way mark), I'll return to my normal aftershave rotation which includes Captain's Choice Bay Rum.

Yup, i've read a bit about them. It's great that you still have it! Spydercos are great knives from what i've heard. I actually have several Victorinoxes as well, but no alox models.

It's kind of illegal to carry a knife without a good reason in the city, don't really know what would be an acceptable reason, but usually i just carry around my Vic Minichamp. It can get the job done most of the time.
At home i reach for the Opinel 10 most of the time. I love carbon steel blades.
Of course i have several finnish puukkos, a few moras and some other folders.

Sounds like you have a very nice knife collection, Daniel. I wondered about the local knife laws in your neck of the woods when I asked the question. It's a shame you can't legally carry a knife for normal use...but the Vic Minichamp is cool nonetheless. Even though it's legal here, I have received the "stink eye" from onlookers for using my pocket knives in public. Times have changed, for sure, and I tend to use some discretion.

Wow, what a unique razor. Love seeing items like that still in use. Great shave!

Looking forward to seeing the Dec updates. Nice collection!
Easy and smooth is aways great!
Sorry about the cut. It happens to everyone I suppose. Straights require attention which is why I don't even try before work. I'm impressed by anyone who can shave with a straight all the time.
Sounds like a really really fun time. That's the way we always did vacations when I was a kid. Can't get the family to do that anymore. We're all spoiled.

Isn't that a Lunawerk travel razor?

    Great shaves and report!
    Cool picture!
I don't have a lot of shavette (I know that's like calling all bandages band-aids) experience, but I agree, there is nothing like a real straight razor.
Nice crat! Great shave! Looking forward to seeing all your high end stuff this month.

Cool Occams razor! Is that on the enabler's everyone must own list? Just wondering if I need to start budgeting for it in 2020.
And another Occams razor... Okay, I see what's coming next. (BTW, I do have some self control, I at least say I'm going to wait a few times before I buy)
Nice shave with the Futur copy. I've been considering shaving my head recently too. I don't have much up there anyway. I just can't bring myself to do it. Keep us updated.
