Though I quite enjoyed my Shave with the Alu. General and its new handle yesterday, the quality of finish is nowhere near the one attained with a Mongoose today. Today was just one of those days, with a good lather the Shave went so well and quickly that before I knew it all was finished, and I am in possession of a real Face Stroker. Again I used one of my little boars that have been well used, and whip up and apply lather with very soft tips.

 

Thank you. I never grow bored with this combo.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The GZD Berber Stick Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #1 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Superior Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Family Dollar Old Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Sunday shave Dec 1-2019, It's going to be a Schick Sunday with one of Schick's injector's best razors a M3 adjustable. I like this sensitive adjustable dial to taylor in my shave to my liking...... it's that good.

Razor : Schick adjustable injector M3- MFG Model #3 1970-72
Blade : Personna injector (5)
Soap : Italian barber Amici
Brush : Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm+
Preshave : Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera clear gel on beard area.
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave : Italian barber Amici with witch hazel +Nivea balm
Results : CCS,DFS,BBs + alum indicated minor irritation + no weepers =

Great shave with my recently straightened out Gem Damaskeen and a fifth use Ted Pella blade. The first shave with this razor was horrible then I noticed that the head was bent and so was one of the blade stops. It's all in working order now and shaves quite well. The accompanying razor performed quite well also.

 

Colonial General, Schick Proline P-20, shave 1


First foray into AC razors. If this shave is any indication this razor is almost identical to the Schick Golden Type L9 injector. Mild and efficient but with a little more bite to it. If I had to I could use this razor as a daily shaver with no issues, but I don't have to so I won't.

 

Those are two great razors! You’re a lucky man!

The Shave went so well yesterday that I did a repeat with the Mongoose. Again I used a P & B Soap which really work well for me.and though perhaps I got the lather a bit runny it did not affect the ease and quality of the finished Shave, which again was excellent. I did notice that compared to the well broken in little boar used yesterday the Synthetic brush was a bit scratchy when applying the lather.
