As I'm sure many here know by now, Gillette has released its first safety razor in over thirty years. The reviews I've seen on the Tube have been generally positive. The handle is apparently made in the United States, while the head and base plate are German manufacture (although, being unmarked, it's unknown if the company that made these parts is Muhle, Merkur, or Jagger). It seems that some executive at Gillette has taken notice of the resurgence of safety razors and decided to have the company test the proverbial waters with this razor. That, to me, speaks to just how much the traditional market has grown that such a large company as Gillette is trying its hand at producing a safety razor again. Does anyone own one of these? What were your thoughts?
