    Injector news......

    Stirling Glacial Satsuma soap
    Simpson Emperor 2
Supply Injector - 2 dot plate
    **NEW** Supply blades
Lucky Tiger After Shave & Face Tonic
    Stirling Glacial Satsuma AS

My new blades showed up today and I had to take the test drive.
A very nice first showing in my book, but they won't catch the Prolines.
Right now, I have put them about equal with Chinese Schicks. Well above the old Supply Personnas in sharpness and smoothness.

If you prefer the Personnas over the Chicks, I can't comment.

I considered getting one of the Supply starter kits as a gift for my brother at Christmas, this new blade sealed the deal.

I know its not Wednesday yet but I just received a package in the mail and had to give it a go. The results were decadent.
    Vintage Williams
    Treet CS blade
    ER 1914
    Omega boar
    AV classic
I always liked modern Williams but I absolutely love the vintage. Lathers as good as any modern hard soap , lather lasts and is nice and creamy thick. Great cushion . The Treet blades give you a close close shave and what better way to top it off than AV classic?
Next shave will be a straight razor shave . Stay tuned .

    RyX DoH!

A drive by quote and move on post. I still haven't finished reading last months thread, and y'all gone off an got me a couple pages behind.
Thanks Jim! It still hasn't fully registered with my mind.
    All my hats feel funny...
    Nice choice of gear!
Thanks Clint! Still waiting for all precincts to report, but it's my head so I don't have to ask permission.
Thanks Gary! I used Nivea Cooling balm a little while afterwards. I'm not ready for hard shiny, maybe a matte finish until I slowly work up a little tan.
Thanks Daniel! I've not used a Merkur Futur, but those that have compared say these are decent copies. Big gap - ride the cap. I use it wide open, but I've tamed it. Use a smooth blade rather than sharp?
Thanks Terry! Rather than learn from my own mistakes, I'm happy to gather the wisdom of others.
Thanks Jeff! I do enjoy a couple of Schick SE razors, but never found the love for Gem type. Got a couple Gillettes I'm comfortable using. One day I just might take that next step with a pain stick (Feather style shavette).
I understand that. I find myself in a position of "no controlling legal authority." That leaves me to do as I please whether it's a good idea or not.
Currently have a FB, and at least one Slim unless I gave it unto The Box. Is the 6C a 3pc with assorted baseplates? I've got a number of vintage & newer DE of that type. I was reasonably pleased with the Ming Shi/Q-Shave.
That makes sense as I'm trying to figure out which one handles well and doesn't nick me up. I may adjust what I use on my face as my dome preferences develop.

Rick, the Rockwell is a 3 piece razor with 3 plates that allow for 6 different blade gaps. They are marked 1,3; 2,4; 5,6. Number one being the least aggressive. The toughest thing about headshaving is to know your headshape. I have been a headshaver for 11 years. Trust me on this, close your eyes and use your dominant hand to slowly feel the contours of your head. You may notice some dips, especially by the lower back of your head. This is a very difficult area to get smooth. You need to put your head toward your chest with your chin touching it. This will stretch that area to make it flatter to get a cleaner shave. At the point, when you have shaved your head for about 2 to 3 months, you will know your head very well and you will have muscle memory for each section. You will eventually, get to the point where you can shave your head without mirrors but by feel. Like face shaving, you need to do WTG, ATG and XTG to get that super smooth look. Tell you the truth, I would get Cremo to do your head shave. It is very slick and I get excellent shaves with it. Also, you don't need a brush to use it. Welcome to Slytown, my friend!
