GEMonday with my Gem G bar, If I do a 3 pass shave with this razor I receive a decent shave. My usual routine is a 2 pass with a clean up. A very nice looking razor IMO.

    Razor: Gem G bar - MFG 1955-58
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (7)
    Soap : Razorock XXX
Brush : Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm " Sagrada Familia"
Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + A dollop of Aloe Vera clear gel on beard area.
Post shave : Razorock XXX aftershave with witch hazel + Nivea balm
    Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + aftershave indicated minimal irritation + no weepers= [IMG]

Thanks Gary, works good sometimes with a 3 pass WTG,XTG, ATG if I remember that is the formula for a great shave using the G bar.

    Monday DECember 2

First shave of the month. Not sure what my focus is yet but starting with a razor and brush that are new to me.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
    Soap - MWF
    Brush - 30DC
Blade - GEM SS SE (1)
    Razor - TNNSER 3D Clear
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, RR Barbershop Blue A/S

    Shave rating 5 of 5

5 days since last shave and I wanted to give these 2 new tools a try. I've got TNNSER 3D's in 2 other colors so was pretty confident in the shave I would get. Wasn't sure about the brush. I really like the handle but this is my first synthetic and I've never lathered with a synthetic. Well, it lathered really well and applied the lather well too. Maybe I won't have to replace the knot. I did a 2 pass shave, WTG and XTG and both passes were excellent, finished BBS. The MWF lathered really well as usual. The alum was a little vocal in a couple spots. Finished up with the Barbershop Blue A/S - I like this scent, just wish it lasted a little longer.

Happy DECember and great shaves everyone.

For a mild razor this gives a BBS shave but the blade tugs more than cuts and it takes a bit of work to get there but it does.

Had a great end of the day shave with two fantastic razors. A great soap and a wonderful brush.

    Injector news......

    Stirling Glacial Satsuma soap
    Simpson Emperor 2
Supply Injector - 2 dot plate
    **NEW** Supply blades
Lucky Tiger After Shave & Face Tonic
    Stirling Glacial Satsuma AS

My new blades showed up today and I had to take the test drive.
A very nice first showing in my book, but they won't catch the Prolines.
Right now, I have put them about equal with Chinese Schicks. Well above the old Supply Personnas in sharpness and smoothness.

If you prefer the Personnas over the Chicks, I can't comment.

I considered getting one of the Supply starter kits as a gift for my brother at Christmas, this new blade sealed the deal.

    Cyril Salter /MS ED2band
    P & B Citra Royale
    ATT SE1 / Windrose handle
    Schick Proline [ 1 ]
    Alcolado Glacial A/S Splash

I think that the ATT SE1 may well be my favourite AC/SE, it is of medium weight and feels very good in the hand during a Shave. With a fresh blade aboard the Shave was smooth and comfortable, and I had no problems getting a superb close all round finish. I could well do a repeat tomorrow as I intend to do an extended rotation with AC/SE, as going away for 3 nights and will be using my Occams V2 as a Travel Razor.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Pal Injectomatic razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Great photos. That's an interesting looking bowl. And I've said it before but I really like that bottle. I believe you said it came from your Grandmother.

Thanks. Yes the vintage circa early 20th Century crystal and silver perfume decanter is a family heirloom. The ceramic bowl, however, was a modest find on Amazon.
