If it was, we're talkin a major anniversary in 2020 :). How many years old? Oh, I dunno, but it ends in zero.

Hope you're better soon, Terry. Shaving can be a mood lifter-especially one like Stoylin.

This morning's shave was as expected-kind of. (Does that make sense?). Anyway, I had great success loading with the Stoylin li'l brudder. Another day of smoothness from the PAA soap, but here's the "kind of". I was hoping the PAA scent would come through the Stoylin Unscented A.S. splash, but it didn't appear to. I do admit to administering too much-perhaps will ease up with the next use. But as a result-a nice, clean, soft shave, but the unscented A.S. completely blocked out the P.A.A. powerhouse-scented soap(Boomtown).I will say the unscented A.S. is of the same type as other Stoylins, as that too provides for a soft clean finish to a shave. THAT I expected, but I kinda thought the soap scents would come through.

The one with the largest opening is what they call an OC plate is the most efficient.

Thank you Jim. I am putting away the Occam's razor for now so no more temptation. I have completely lost my mind on new razor purchases.

    Razor: Gold Baili BT131
    Blade: Gillette 7O'Clock Yellow (3)
    Brush: Omega S-Brush 10019
    PS: Proraso Green
    SS: Razorock Gold Label
    AS: Proraso Sandlewood

So, do you think this gold thing will get old before the end of the month? Anyway, this is my first shave with the gold baili. It shaves okay. It's more aggressive than I was expecting. I had a smooth 3 pass shave with one small nick near the crease of my chin. That is a place I nick myself often.

I know the focus and rules are intended to help people learn, but I have noticed a change with all the variation lately. I am much more capable of adjusting my technique based on how the razor feels on the first stroke. I hadn't been able to do that before.

It was a happy coincidence that I used gold AS, Gold Label soap, and a yellow brush. I'm not that creative.
