Geez we been chatty today, this got buried and I completely missed it...

Right now the water is cold... but in a month or so it will feel good.

Waves? When there are storms out in the middle of the lake, there are some large waves. We have had boats docked at pier get swamped....
I don't know if you could body surf.... I did hear on the radio that Chicago is looking into making it legal to surf on two beaches this year. I didn't know there were laws against it; I just assumed it wasn't a good idea....

In regards to the strop... yeah small is the key word.. 1.5 inches wide and 11 inches long... I have one ordered from an HYD leather maiden... but she tells me it will be a bit before it makes its way up the backlog ...
