    Karve “F” Plate
    Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow
    Simpson CH2 Synthetic
    WSP Barbershop
    Myrsol Antesol
    Habit Rouge EdT

Change of hardware and software this morning. Paired the Karve "F" plate with a new Gillette yellow. The "Soap Destroyer" loaded and whipped up a wonderful slick lather. WSP Formula T soaps are on my buy again list. I do wish they would used wider containers. Three passes and touch ups ended with a BBS shave. Made the mistake of talking with my wife while shaving and ended up with a very nice nick below my right nostril. Damn thing really hurt when I put the styptic pencil to the cut. A splash of Antesol and a spritz of Habit Rouge and I hope I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

You are not helping. I have purchased way too much in the last month. A TNNSER, Rex Ambassador, Classic Shaving Enoch and Classic Shaving Hiram are the razors that are inbound or waiting to be put into rotation. Good thing I quit smoking so I can pay for this stuff.

Agreed, Joe. West Coast Shaving had the big 10098 boar on sale for ~$10 during their Black Friday sale. That's the best deal going on a first-rate shaving brush.

Oh thanks for reminding me...that's how she finished me off-Clubman Talc behind the neck and around the ears. In fact, the same size I'll be getting soon.

Yaqi Mountain Lake Two Band Badger Brush
    Timeless Shaving Bowl
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat Soap
Above the Tie – Kronos, R2 Plate
    Astra SP Blade
    Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum

    AWESOME FATT shave today!

I was having a problem building lather yesterday but Andrew @Linuxguile suggested that I needed to feed the badger more so that is what I did this morning and it worked great. The Yaqi brushed beat the Fat into submission. Great slick and cushiony lather.

I am really enjoying the Above the Tie razors and I have settled on the Kronos handle for the full stainless steel set up and the Atlas handle for the stainless-steel top cap and aluminum base plate. The shorter Atlas handle seems to balance out the aluminum and stainless-steel combo better.

I became a part of the 30dc a year ago and if you would have told me then that in the future, I would be owning a Karve and an ATT setup I would have told you that you were crazy. We will not even mention the amount of soap that has hit the den this year. It is amazing what a little enabling will do but it has been a great and fun year. So, to all of you enablers out there………..pat yourself on the back. You are doing a great job!

Finished the shave with Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum. For some reason I needed a little bay rum this morning.

I hope everyone has a great hump day! Take care.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements PS - Tube 2.0
Wholly Kaw SS/AS - Fougère Mania
    Toyo Hasimoto 777
    Darwin 2 band badger

Very nice shave this morning....couple of new acquisitions. The razor is a NOS German 6/8 Full Hollow Ground blade, but then finished in Japan by Toyo Hasimoto. It is labeled as 777, 'T. THE SCHOEN BURG'. Scales are black with some white streaks mixed in. Toyo logo and blade stamping is orange. This was a BST via another forum, shipped from Australia (3 weeks stuck in Customs!). Soap and aftershave is a favorite artisan of mine, Wholly Kaw. It's a new soap base called Siero. He loves to make various Fougère aroma blends, this one his newest called Fougère Mania.

2.5 pass DFS+ result today. No nicks, weepers or shenanigans. The Darwin 2 band went after the WK soap with ease. Loads very thick on the brush, a slight yellow/cream color. It looks/reminds me of a hard butter. It's firm in the container, a little soft, but not mushy. Lather is incredibly thick and slick when hydrated, face feel from a bowl lather is sublime (similar to PAA's CK-6 base to me, but possibly a touch better). This Toyo 777 slightly sings while swiping, tons of audible feedback when cutting growth. Extremely thin ground and sharp out of the box, it did see a few laps on a bridle leather strop before using. Light and nimble like many Japanese razors, easy to maneuver, but requires controlled guidance & pressure to get it's work done (unlike a beefy blade that you just glide around and the weight does the work, not unlike a heavy DE or SE).

Wholly Kaw Fougère Mania aroma.....strong upfront fragrance out of the soap, almost seems like a mix of Tabac with hints of his other two Fougères (which are each very nice on their own). Reminds me of several of Chatillon Lux aftershaves....very floral aroma overall (some have said 'old lady'). Not quite my opinion yet, but close. The matching after shave splash....has a little more of his Fougère aroma upfront, less Tabac 'flowery' (kind of opposite the soap). Very nice face feel 2 hours after the shave, still catching whiffs of the AS. Repurchase? Not sure....possibly. More time needed with it, but the Siero base is a winner for sure.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!

Real good shave this morning. Some members here have been sort of "ehhh, it's OK" about shaving soap at The Soap Exchange, but I'm delighted with it. 2 healthy passes, no cuts/nicks/weepers. The Lumberjack is a nice match to the AgadirMen aftershave(Oud Wood). The Maggard brush set things up nicely. Back end of same shave tomorrow.

Very nice shave with top shelf gear, Rick! Regarding the photo...the tuition dollars were well spent. Sam Sung and I are very proud, my friend. You and @Linuxguile have some of the coolest helpers with your shaves too!

Your gourd shaves remind me of learning to play Eight Ball as young guy. I could be excitable, so I occasionally sent the cue ball flying off the table. I referred to this particular high-profile scratch (as it caught the attention of everyone around us) as "The 101st Cue Ball," named after the 101st Airborne Division. In other words, you're well on your way to 101st Cue Ball gourd shaves.

Sometimes the cue would fly off my finger&thumb just as I was ready to hit it. The same mistake can happen in archery. Right, @Sara-s?
