Just bugging, Evan. When I first posted a few handles on here 3 years ago, there were some fine folks on here (some still around, the main enabler Jared @PickledNorthern, is not) who subtlety :happy097: encouraged me to share my talents via an LE for the group. The rest is history. I’m just keeping the fine tradition of enabling alive...

@Paul Turner, I'm sorry about the fall, and I hope you're doing OK.

I'm thankful you received prompt medical care, which included a CT scan to look for underlying causes, and I'm glad to hear about the PT. Please don't rule out a Neuro evaluation, either. This was really helpful for my Mom when she was dealing with balance and mobility issues. I'm also glad that you're evaluating your shoes to make sure you have proper footing matched to your current activity. Athletic shoes, for example, can be great on pavement, but they can be hazardous on carpet if you don't make a conscious effort to pick up your feet sufficiently. I recently threw away a half dozen pairs of indoor shoes that were great on carpet in my old place, but they were unsafe on hard wood floors in my new place.

I'll echo some of the earlier comments about the importance of targeted exercises to maintain good balance.

Winter brings ice - and even worse - black ice on outdoor walking surfaces. It never hurts to slow down and assume you have ice underfoot. I know a guy that took a really bad fall on ice, and he suffered a very serious and life-altering injury.

I've taken a couple of falls recently due to hurrying and inattention. Like @Terry says, taking a couple of extra minutes to assess a situation (even situations that I consider to be routine) and proceeding with a little extra caution would have helped me avoid unnecessary pain and injury. Both falls occurred on stairs...ascending and descending. Stairs = red flag for me. :)

Take care of yourself and keep us posted, my friend.

Jason, you are welcome to keep bugging me. It's an art and arts are supposed to be shared. I just need more practice before I put other people's prized possessions at risk.

    Good morning all!
Getting back to what I call normal, feeling somewhat better.
Got a package from Jeff @jgreenepa with some blades to try. I alwas like trying new things so this was great.
I used the normal blade trial setup to see how they compare. First pass was resistive, not on par with some other blades I have.
Off to the second pass and things got lots better clear through the cleanup pass. To the gord and things were nice and smooth both passes. The cleanup pass was fine, you could tell that the blade was changing, not enough to be bad so, it worked to the very end. Because of the price I was excited to try theses out. Not a bad blade at all, a solid 9 on my scale. If they were better on the first pass it would be better. Some say it's a coating that needs to be dressed with a bit of time, I'm not sure of that.

This is another blade that I wonder if i did the head shave first, the face would be outstanding. Because I'm a one and doner, with some blades, it might be a good choice to change my shave. That would be a good focus for say a month next year.
    Thanks Jeff!
Anyway, I'm clean and smooth, just as I like. No issues, a blade that I can use.
    All
    Enjoy!

    Wednesday face shave
Went great until I got to my chin. Since I removed the goatee, its been a journey learning to maneuver the straight around this newfound territory. Any tips would be appreciated @Edison Carter , @Trigger, @Keithmax since I know you guys have experience in this area. Other than that the shave went very well.
