My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Pal Injectomatic razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wednesday's Shave

SOTD, Dec 4th 2019
Razor : One blade Core V2 - MFG 2019(great razor)
Blade: FHS -10 shown, experimenting with a Gem blade
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Flore Firenze(nice soap, New to my collection)
Brush : Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm+
Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera clear gel on beard area.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =

Autostrop B2, Gem ptfe stainless, shave 2


The B model autostrops perform to expectations with minimal effort, that is when you can find one that isn't broken in some way or the comb bent where it doesn't perform to spec. Expect a BBS shave when they do. These are good razors but regardless the variant more times than not buying one is a crap shoot but well worth it if you like to shave with SE razors. The B and the A models even more so will hold their own against any Gem style SE razor you can think of.

Extending this AC/SE rotation by using the same Razor again prior to a few days away, when I plan to use my Occams V2. I think the Shave with the ATT SE1 was easier and quicker today with the blade on its second outing. Got a slight weeper yesterday by trying too hard but no problems today.

Great shave, Perry! Have you found PAA’s Cube to have made a difference in your shaves! I used to use the Grooming Dept’s Preshave until I discovered the Cube.
