I'm sporting a 'circle beard' so chins and mustaches are the areas I lack the ability to give much advice.

Two things come to mind if I was going to increase my beard harvesting. I would see if I could work across or diagonally on the chin rather than around. I don't like going 'around' my jaw anywhere. Secondly, I'd prefer to work with the 6/8 Gold Dollar. Even though 4/8 like that Wagner are sometimes considered 'trim' razors, I found them challenging to maneuver.

I'm sure you'll get some good advice from others.

They really are wonderful razors! I’m glad you’re enjoying yours so much! It is a technical shave! My son who is just getting on board the DE train, insisted on borrowing my Barbasol when he and his family were visiting this last weekend despite my attempts to push my Merkur 34. I think he’ll listen next time!

Great razor, Evan. Sorry about the minor bloodletting. I shaved with mine this morning as well!

Great shave, Danny! I hear the ATT razors are spot on shavers! Glad your shave went so well!

Thanks, Jeff! I only own 2 boar brushes, but I like them very much. The Stirling brush is relegated to mediocre status because it sheds everytime I use it. This morning I lost another bristle. I don't blame Stirling because I assume the knots are contracted out, but I will just stick to their shave soaps and aftershaves going forward.

Charlie, it’s great advice! At our point on the life path it pays to exercise some caution in all activities, particularly in winter!

Thanks, Terry, for the great feedback! Your beard is the ultimate test! I’ve never gone beyond two shaves with each of these blades just because of the price (a penny per shave). The DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating on these blades may be the issue on that first pass for you! I never experienced the resistance you describe on the first pass, but here at the Den we all know that your beard density is legendary and the ultimate test for any blade! Thanks for taking the time to report. Glad to hear that you’re feeling better!

Sounds like a great shave, Danny.
I saw those IB sales as well. Yes, very hard to pass up indeed. They had some Fine soaps and splashes on sale and I came very close to pulling the trigger for sure.

I made that statement and then realized there are only 4 spots on Mt. Rushmore. How could I ever limit myself to 4 razors! I'm not, believe me, but I'm pretty close to saying this one is up there for me. Give me a MonoBilt, a couple News of different types (LC, Goodwill, Deluxe are givens), this Floating Head, one of the Schick injectors, maybe an Old Type... that's 4 right? :happy088: :happy097:

Sounds like a great mini-focus, Joseph. I see you have both the Fine and the Czech&Speake, interesting to see how close Fine came to the original. I must admit that straight Lavender isn't my fave, but I'll still be following along with your different reviews and comparisons for sure.
