Ahh man!! Great Thread You've got here!! You've hit a real weak spot for me...I enjoy letting my olfactory senses take me on journeys...My sense of smell and listening to music are my two favorite windows to my imagination. Lets see.... In the past, I enjoyed many...not as signature scents...but like a good Scotch, something that I would really enjoy when I had the chance....I see you guys have quite afew listed here that I liked very much.. Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentrée Aqua de Parma Colonia Caron Pour Un Homme Arpege Un Homme Chanel Pour Monsieur Tom Ford Noir But for absolute favorites... For spitzing and setting back and enjoying the ride I add Shalimar. But I don't like to actually wear it while out and about. That burnt vanilla can get tiring. But the way this perfume developes. it's a trip and that dusty vanilla adds a dream like quality, while relaxing Guerlain Habit Rouge was a signature scent for a couple decades...but I experienced a perfume on an elevator and looked for it for much of that time.....Finally found out it was Guerlain's Jicky! Thats my present daily go to....Smells like I imagine Heaven smelling like! Thats the EdP concentration. They have reformulated it so many times...But actually, this ladt time I believe it made it closer to it's former self...Bravo!...I want to stockpile it before they mess with this great EdP they have now. I recently added Chanel Pour Monsieur to my collection, very nice. I purchased some Jicky Extrait and wow, that is some great juice.
Love me a few. Aramis YSL Pour Homme Vetiver de Guerlain Does Fabergé Brut count? Because me really likey that one. Probably more, but I can't think of them at the moment.
In the late 80's Xeryus by Givenchy (1986) was my go to fragrance, later followed by Joop!Homme (1989) in the 90's to early noughties.
One Man Show from 1980. You'll either hate it or like it...not sure it can be loved, but it's good. My dad and I each discovered it independently (him back home in Illinois, me in Virginia) around '89 and told each other about it at the same time, very weird how that happened. So I keep a bottle around to remind me of him. I don't think he bothers wearing his anymore. https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Jacques-Bogart/One-Man-Show-7795.html
YSL Pour Homme, released in 1979, is a different scent then Sandpiper ( La Nuit de L'Homme) which was released in 2009. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Pour Monsieur is like a Dream! Whenever I try it, I can't keep my nose from my wrist...lol! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I didn't really wear a lot of fragrances in elementary school. That said, I wear a lot now. My favorite in my younger years was Drakkar. I still love the stuff. My dad has always been a Stetson and Aramis man. I keep both around because they both have such a wonderful association for me, and I always feel at home wearing them. Pour Un Homme and Habit Rouge are both favorites of mine...I need to restore, my PuH has been gone and my HR bottle is a tester from 10 years ago. It's lost it's whole openung and first stage. Now it opens straight into the middle of the Mids...instant leather...no lemon....I need new bottle... Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Kind of obscure and out of production, but Arden’s Sandalwood is one of my all time faves. Came out in 1957. Was really a bargain before it went out of production. A little pricey now though. I really don’t get a Sandalwood scent either.
