With that info, definitely old. Other pucks of a similar age, price, and point of origin show tallow as the first ingredient. As Justin said, you're probably smelling the antique shop rather than the Williams, the original scent having faded over the years. That won't affect the stellar shave you'll get from it. You've got a winner.
Does the front of the box have a red arrow on it talking about a special offer? Post some pictures of all the markings, please?
Well I would say that more than likely you have one from the 70s. I'm not sure why the ingredients are not present. But this symbol is one that we start to see on Williams products when Nabisco owned them from 1971-1983.
As I look at comparables, I'm thinking that that your's is an earlier Nabisco example. Maybe early 70s right when Nabisco had bought Williams. Williams Soaps produced when Pharmaceuticals, Inc. owned them in the 60s did not have an ingredients list either. But the majority of the examples from Nabisco do, so it leads me to believe it was during that transition in ownership that your's was produced. Also to note: The other exception to an ingredients list, was when Nabisco was offering special edition deals. They put a red arrow pointing toward the flap that normally had the ingredients list, and instead would be details for the deal. Some examples would be a mail-in order (the Soap paper wrapper had the order form) deal for a Bicentennial Pewter Mug, or a US/UK Flagged Scuttle...

I am impressed. Very efficient, but smooth. It's like a slightly less aggressive Blackland Blackbird. It's now one of my top 5 razors.
