I think I commented on your post earlier, but I'd add that I read that most members in here report their shaves with "20 seconds to load" . Has to be more for me(as I indicated before).

Yeah, same on my end about soaps slowly fading on their scent. But, I'm thinking it's not that big of a deal to me....most of them I have the matching AS, so there's the option of a drop or two in the lather. And...I think most PAA & Stirling options would be the last of the collection for losing their scent, they usually are pretty scent forward soaps.

And the CRUD....been around our house. Not the vomiting crud, but the upper respiratory version. Oldest daughter 12 days ago, antibiotics. Wifey shortly after that, bronchitis (she waited too long to visit PCP), antibiotics. Last Monday...me. Tuesday afternoon trip to doc, steroids shot and antibiotics. Not officially bronchitis. Still working through it. I also deal with chronic asthma, so always am quick on the draw to PCP office on upper respiratory issues. And....our youngest daughter seems to be next, symptoms this morning. Ugh.

That vomiting crud....oh, man. Many projectile stories. No fun at all! We had that off and on from day care all through elementary school. Young kids petri dish experiment....feel for y'all Andrew!

Sorry about your thumb again, Jim...
Pic looks great, Daniel. Nice to find a budget product that works for you.
Well, if you call it a Unicorn razor with your extensive collection, Gary, that is very impressive.
You'll get it dialed in, Terry. Looks pretty cool regardless.
    Great looking combo, Jim!
The Revere is one of the coolest looking Schicks for sure, Perry!
    Excellent, Jim!
Love, love, love the Senator, Evan!
Wow. I'm very worried for you, Daniel. You don't want to scare the new girlfriend away.
When you get to the bottom, let me know, Clint! I can never seem to get there.
    Another awesome one, Evan!
Love that brush, and love the Cool, Mark.
You have a very cool collection of razors, Jeff!
So, you are selling a scentless soap? Yup the EdT may be the kicker, Joseph.
Sounds like a great scent, Blair!
Love the L'Orange Noir as well, Danny! You are right, at least it isn't Clubman.

Thanks Blair, this run off the crud seems to be a 24 hour bug so hopefully the worst is past.

30 seconds minimum, if I'm in a hurry. Usually I load for 2-3 minutes. No pressure, just the tips of the brush adding a few drops of water here and there when things get pasty. I also switch direction every 10 seconds or so.

Personally, I don't worry about how long I load. I just load until I see a nice paste has formed and worked its way well into the bristles. I like to see some of that paste a good ways up the length of the bristles. Then, I like to use my finger to scoop as much of the paste off the puck and side of the dish as I can. I smear this on my face since I face lather. This doesn't lead to the most economical usage of soap, but it gets me a good lather pretty much every time. Sometimes, this takes me a 20 or 30 seconds, sometimes much longer. It just depends on the soap, brush, and how much water I started with (I just load with a ramp brush)

Hmm, sounds like they changed some things up a bit. It has been a while since I looked at their site. Were the soaps always $20?
