Nothing like that Barbershop feel! I can only experience it when SWMBO is away due to her fragrance allergy! So I can experience all aspects but the olfactory!

You’re my kind of guy, Danny! My favorite is MWF, although I do generally salt it liberally with M-Bomb. Nothing beats a MWF Fatboy Friday to be alliterative.

Thanks, Perry! I really appreciate the kind words! Sub teachers are held in low regard by most teachers and students. The dynamics of sub teaching can be difficult because we don't have the strong relationship with students as the everyday teacher. We don't have grades, or the ability to speak to parents to comtrol probkem kids. When I was teaching, I warned my classes, if I get a bad report, it will not go well for them. Needless, to say, my classes were well behaved. The everyday teacher sets the tone as to how the class behaves to the sub. If I was a principal, then at first assembly of year, I would tell all the students that the punishment is doubled for an offense to a sub so that wiseguys would think twice about acting out. Unfortunately, it isn't done, but I feel it should be.

During U.S. History in H.S. we had a "sub" who covered the RailRoad period. As I recall, though, the regular teacher was in the room at all times....just leaving the lecturing to the sub. Made me wonder if our teacher of U.S. History didn't know that part of U.S. History too well.

I tell my classes the same thing - if I get a bad report then it will not go well when I return. I rarely have problems when I'm out.
