    Hey Charlie!
    Nice one pass!
Hope you two enjoyed the free day.
Last time I was in Rochester, I was with a trucker friend getting a load of Genesee beer.
Sounds like you got some encouraging information too, that's great.
Have a safe trip home, take care.
    Keep the faith!
Good wishes and prayers to you both from us here in the woods!!

    Good morning, all
DSC_0883.JPG I used the Nivea cream again, because it just works. This time tried it with a boar brush, which is really soft at this point. It sheds a bit though, but nothing too bad.
I'm really liking the Flare Tip SS. I used a Shark SC blade, which i'm not really too familiar with, but it seems to be a good blade. Differences are small, but it felt smooth and sharp enough.
Reopened the weeps from yesterday, but they closed right up with cold water.
    Overall, a very comfortable shave.

    Have a great day!

    Good Saturday morning everyone!
    Did an experiment today!
A couple days ago I got what I thought would be a french brush cutter of a razor, only to be disappointed upon the first trial.
Today, I did a little mod of the blade by removing the spine. Not much change in the blade but It was worth trying out. The Razor, well, it only cost me 28 bucks.
Getting out the Amici, not an inexpensive soap, a down right cheap soap, an amazing soap. The price of this stuff is nothing compared to its performance. Slicker than some much more expensive soap, the lather is great in my hard water without disappearing. A light citrus scent.
    Anyway....
Not expecting anything at all, boy was I surprised! How can removing the spine of a blade make so much difference???
Well, boy did it ever, wow! I got a shave that I expected, wonderful. I have a razor that can compete with about anything I got in the stash.
And, it only cost me 28 bucks!

I'm clean, smooth and ready for the day.
Looks line I'm gonna have to try this out on some other old blade holders.
I'm glad this crazy contraption works!
    Everyone
    Enjoy!

The SS looks a bit rough, but it shaves great.
