Glad to hear the Flare Tip is doing well, Daniel. Watch it, it is the gateway to the Gillette rabbit hole...
I do prefer Omega board to that Semogue one, but neither should be a shedder!

Very interesting, Terry. Good results for sure, but what made you consider pulling the spline off the blade?

Super pic, Jim. Glad the bowl is working out. Did you just put the puck in, or did you grate it to fit?
The Felce Aromatica is my favourite, as has been stated by me about 47 times...

I’m in the same boat, Joseph. I love the Seville, but then go for extended periods of not using it. I have no idea why, I need to work it into a focus. Fave February for sure.

The soap sounds great, Clint. You said ‘my other synthetic’ but I know you have at least the CH2 and the Shavemac Synth...or do you mean another Thater?

Thanks, Jason! I've been checking out the adjustables and red tips..
At one point i did have a Semogue 830. It was a shedder, even though i soaked it every time before i used it. I gave it to a fried, who actually likes it, even though it sheds. My Omega 10049 has lost only a few hairs, and the knot feels better, but i prefer the handle of the Semogue. Anyways, i do prefer my synthetics over boars, but i like the variety.

I have a Single Ring that I just took out of the rotation that you can have, if you want it. Warning- a Gillette Old Type is guaranteed to send you down the Rabbit Hole.

I would appreciate it! I don't have much experience with open comb razors, maybe i could learn something with it.

Love the outdoor shot, Gary. Looks like the same grey Lower Mainland sky I remember growing up there...only lasts from November to April...:)

Ok, PM me your address. It is a little rough looking, but shaves fantastically.
You have been warned, though. Better clear a few shelves for your next 8 vintages...

I apologize for the poorly written reports. I should have said synthetics. In addition to the Thater, I have the Simpson, Shavemac, Plisson and Tuxedo synthetic brushes. The Thater has a scritch that is not in any of my other synthetic brushes. I am not sure that's a good thing or a bad thing yet. I did not do a good job reading the description on the brush. The olive wood is unfinished and I know I don't like that. I have tried to use the oil for cutting boards with no success. I have thought about getting some furniture wax like minwax.

Have fun tonight, Blair. I enjoy our Symphony here as well. The 2nd Flute is really cute and looks a lot like my kids...:)
