SOTD, 19 December 2019 with Review First lather with Pré de Provence No. 63 today - it's been a long while since I last used a similar hard soap puck (D. R. Harris being my usual hard soap, but my collection is mostly softer soaps: Razorock, Stirling, Murphy & McNeil) and how long it would take to get a good load for lathering. BUT - once properly loaded, another beautiful lather was indeed produced. This scent is really quite nice - not powerful by any means, but a nice, spicy scent, well matched by their aftershave balm. While the balm is great for dry winter conditions we've got where I'm from, given that it's a balm, the scent from it lasts only a short while. If you want something short of a cologne or edt like an aftershave splash (they have a matching edt) to carry the scent through more of the day, I'm not sure what to recommend. I'm still thinking through it myself. At any rate, the soap performed quite admirably, even though I didn't quite get the initial water ratio right and had to add a bit while on the face - but I was definitely well protected, and after the shave and post-shave balm, my skin feels wonderful.
