Fantastic shave today using the Blackland Dart. This near flawless mirror polished guy was feeling neglected....and along w/recent enabling from @NCoxSTL (Bolzano INOX DE praises) had me putting the combo together for today's shave. Also a long time since used favorite brush, a 26mm Zenith Boar. Made an incredible bowl lather, slick rich and creamy from PAA's CK-6 formula (added a touch of menthol from their Chill Mill and raw crystals delivered yesterday). Near perfect shave, 3 pass BBS. The Blackland Dart has a LOT of blade exposure (to me), very efficient razor with a bit of blade flex. Gotta let this hefty tool do it's work with very little pressure. Could've called this at 2 passes, but having fun & hadn't used a DE for quite some time, so the baby chase was on. Caught! Finished with PAA's Star Jelly, and the matching Atmotic AS/C from PAA. Smooth as ever, smelling awesome, ready for a Friday!

Last day of school for us! Have a fun family evening planned. PJ party at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History w/Santa, followed by a showing of 'Polar Express' on the first OmniMAX theater in the metroplex. Hadn't done this since the girls were in elementary school. Awesome when that train rolls up for the first time....have to look wide right and left to see the whole thing...it's an 8 story 120 foot wide, 30 degree screen! And....the stereo system...truly incredible w/24,000 watts pumping at you!

-As mentioned in a previous post, it's more of a challenge in the winter than summer to keep up with "Throwback" shave days. It takes a little more research to make sure a particular shave on "Throwback" day is just that...a throwback to earlier times.

-It's so odd that the company Risegrooming has absolutely zero Rise products now. It'd be like moving all state government offices outside of Boston, while still calling Boston the capital of Massachusetts.

-Next week, the last FILES day of the year, I will be focusing on resolutions for 2020, shave-wise.

i always thought that a fat boy will replicate any of the red,regular or blue tip shaves.with a heavier handle of course.
