Thanks for the update Charlie. Prayers, thoughts, and nothing but positive well wishes and outcome for your bride & family, and of course YOU through these tough times. Hopefully some of the 'me' time with shaving, the SF watch district (yes, I AM SEVERELY JEALOUS!) keeps the mind at ease. Can't forget the ICE CREAM!

Excellent shaves, Charlie! I've used the disposable equivalent of Trac II and it did shave surprisingly well.

Prayers to both of you, and Merry Christmas!

Thank you, Blair! Ice cream is definitely a big part of the game plan.

There's a renowned watchmaker in SFO, and I'm hoping he'll let me sit in a corner for a couple of hours to watch him at work. That would be a super cool experience. We also plan to hit a few of the cool coffee shops, Chinatown (for shopping and food), and the wineries in Sonoma Valley. We're fortunate to use some of my sister's time share "points" to stay right in the middle of the city. It's a work trip for her...but not for my Bride and me.

While in SF, don't forget "The Stinking Rose"........garlic all over the place. The Italian section isn't far from Chinatown. By the way, best wishes on Kathy's continued progress with all MAYO visits.

Hope your Friday went great, and Saturday is a fantastic day too!
Got home last night, fell in bed, got up, got ready, just in time for basketball practice.
Have a few minutes to post a couple shaves.

Yesterday's attempt at master shavery went well. I keep the file in the picture to show it's part of the tools used to make this blade compatible with the razor. Seeing this is a learning place, I find that appropriate. Using it to round off the blade egdes. The 2 pass head and face shave is more than I expected. The blade seems to rattle like it's not tight enough, but works good.

Normally a picture after the debauchery, but today no time for that. A new blade (always), edges properly filed to eliminate the two points that can scratch the skin in this razor. A two pass head and face shave, easy and smooth. The blade seems to rattle like it's loose. This razor is designed for a wedge type blade, further inspection and comparisons are needed. Still a very nice shave.
    Life is good.
    All
    Enjoy!
