Incredible Karve shave, Jim! That C plate really delivers! Have you tried any of the OC plates? I like the D-OC.
I agree, the scales do look like scales! Great shave, Joseph!

Back again for another exciting adventure of "Primo Shaves"
Is this the start of a focus:signs002:
Once again, the Boker wasn't the Joker. I added a few laps on a FeOx Balsa strop, followed by
the CrOx Linen and 3" SRP Leather.
The Belgian lather looks almost good enough to pour over some ice cream.
I resisted and stuck to using it as my shave lather.

Mixed reviews of this product are out there. I happen to like it and it does create a very protective
and slick lather. Takes on a lot of H2O and works especially well for straight shaves.
The Boker is on shave 3 and performed
    admirably.
Old school Pierre Cardin turned out to be an excellent pairing with the shave cream.:happy088:

    Thanks, Clint!
I'll be changing out the brush for tomorrow's shave. Gotta use one with some red and black in it to go with the razor. It ain't cool if the gear don't match.

Rockwell did fix the problems of the Model T. However, I don't know if their delivery time is still very long after an order is placed. It took 9 months before I got my T!

    Thank you, Jeff!
I only have the SB-C plate. No OC aluminum plates available when I ordered.
I almost went with the B plate. The neutral exposure and blade gap was almost an exact match for my NO75 LE, the smoothest razor I own. I ultimately decided since I already have that may as well change it up just a bit with the C plate.

All the Karve plates are intershangeable! I could send you a B-OC or a C-OC in Brass to try. I also have a B bar plate that I don’t use, you could try. If you like it, you could always pick up the corresponding plate in aluminum when it becomes available. Let me know if you’re interested. If so, I could get it out to you after the holidays.

Thanks, Jeff! I really appreciate the offer! I'll keep it in mind for the future. I've accumulated several razors over the last month or so that I really should spend some time with before adding to the mix.

    Good Sunday morning!
Got a good shave in, moving slow, still getting things done here.

Different pictures today, the shave was the same except for a few minor modifications.
    1st....
The blade needed some rounding on the edges, found that out first couple strokes of the razor a few days ago.
    20191222_090827.jpg
    Ok, that worked out fine.

    2cd....
Now the blade rattled, for what ever reason. After careful inspection and comparisons of the original wedge blade, the "cure" was obvious. The clips that hold the blade in place work fine for the wedge blade. When using a Personna GEM type blade, the clips don't do it.
I Slightly, Carefully adjusted them to lay flat against the nase plate instead of raised. This keeps the GEM type blade more solid and in place.

    20191222_090947.jpg

    3rd....
The blade will lay flat without removing the spine because of a bend in the base plate at the back to accommodate the wedge type blade.

All in all about 15 minutes of work.
If you look at filing the blade edged each time, that takes 1 minute, tops.

Now I have a 100+ year old razor that works great with modern replaceable blades.
    And....
    It shaves great!

    Everyone
    Enjoy!
