I happen to like Proraso Green. It isn't the slickest soap, but there is enough of it with the right amount of water. As a straight razor shaver, I need the slickness to give me a nice shave and never had a problem with Proraso. I usually paint it on my face and add water in small increments until I get the type of lather that I want.

Try adding more water as you lather. I find Proraso to be fairly slick.

No announcement yet, though I see you picked the month. I'm thinking maybe a BBQ tour would be in order for a change. I keep finding these out of the way joints that absolutely kill it. If I ever stop delivering food it will be because I got a bunch in a row and just stole it all and disappeared. As for the ice cream, Ted Drew's is still the king of frozen custard, though he converts his shop that we were at in June into a Christmas tree lot for the season. It's warming up here again though, so I'm sure he'll have some of his regular business for awhile.

When I lived in North Dakota the Spring "thaw" arrived about mid-March normally. We could still get some snow after that but at least the heavy stuff was gone and the 2 feet of packed snow we had walked on all winter would melt off.

Add water. Proraso can take quite a bit of water as you work it. It was my first and only soap for quite awhile so I know how good it can be.

I am starting to think it could just be my skin because I have been adding lots of water creating a lot of lather

If the lather doesn’t have a nice glossy appearance, then it is probably still too dry. It is will likely be pretty runny.

    Decadent December!!!

    December 22

    Razor - 1946 - '47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Port-Au-Prince small stupid sheep.jpg
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip (TGN Grade A)
    Post - Alum

We seem to be in a Winter break here in the Lou. Temps in the mid to high 50s today and I worked most of it in short sleeves. It's good to live where the weather changes hourly. Third shave tonight with the Aristocrat and Sharp Star. Sheep Sunday! The Stirling Port-Au-Prince is back out with the Wolf Whiskers brush. Same knot as is in the Meet Up brush and it's an awesome knot. Great lather and lots of it got three full passes taken care of with no problem. Totally smooth and blood free shave with silent alum to boot. Nice way to finish a busy day.

For those of you already on vacations - enjoy! For those who have to work tomorrow - have a great Monday!! For those who haven't completed your shopping yet - HURRY!
