I was wrestling between Christmas Eve or Frankincense and Myrrh. Chose CE--no regrets there, but I AM curious to know what Frankin-myrrh is like. What are your thoughts?
It's a scent that is hard to describe. It is a pleasant, clean scent that isn't overpowering. Although it is associated with Christmas, in my opinion, you can use it all year round which is also true for Christmas Eve. F and E is not a dark, smokey scent. I would classify it as a sweet scent. Finally, I would say that it's not a wow, this is wonderful kind of scent and I got to have it, but on the other hand, it is not a turnoff. I like it because it is different.
Different-that D word. That's how I'd describe Blood on Steel. By the way, when using it Saturday, it eventually developed a nice scent.....but not right away. As many of us say, it "grew on me".
Glad you finally liked the 2019 Stirling BoS. I liked it right off the bat! However, I hardly use it because it is more of a cologne scent which I use for mixed social events.
Well, I'll say I do like it(actually I never said I DIDN'T), but I think I'll do as you do...just for special occasions/social events. That being said, though, I've never hesitated to administer other "cologne dupes" on a daily basis, simply because I really like them(Sandpiper, Aqua Velva Musk,, others). The BoS takes a long time to show ,me its attractiveness, but when it finally came around to do so on Sat., I liked it.
Tsuka - BoS As chief collector of this scent, I find that wood-like middle note the only negative...... but once it subsides..... Bom Bada Bing Bang Boom.... Look out aisle 12!! ...... Neva mind... Still happily married to my High School Sweetheart. FWIW..... I'm almost finished the first tub of BoS. Aside from sample sizes, it'll be the first 'dead soldier' under my command.
Were you trying to say F and M(Frank N. Cents and Myrrh), by any chance? The E key is located nowhere near that of the M. Would you like to explain this mystery, Professor???
