good morning gents, went with a rarely used proraso flavor today..it's nice but i like the wood and spice scent a little more.fantastic slick lather was produced in the turkish copper bowl with the ds cosmetic tuxedo brush.the 38-40 sheraton loaded with a platinum blade caught a little sunshine when it was out yesterday.fabulous 2+ pass bbs was the reward,no drama.love this razor combo..touch of balm and cologne to finish.awesome..have a fine monday gents..
5.11 i Gillette considered the changes an upgrade. After the early 60's they didn't change the geometry until they discontinued DE razors in 1987. The later model Superspeeds are held together with a c-clip instead of a left handed security screw. So, they are harder to disassemble, but they are also inexpensive. I just picked up an F3 for $7 (I give a lot of those away so I buy them anytime I find them for under $10). At some point in the 60s Gillette also started crimping the endcaps in place. If you can find a 60's era all brass superspeed, it may last you the rest of your life. The slim has the newer geometry as well.
Yes, i drink quite a lot of coffee. Not necessarily to stay awake, but for the taste and habit. If that works for you, no need for any more or less! I've actually never tried decaf. It's not popular in this part of the world.
Nice, Daniel! Looking good, Jeff! I think the picture looks great! Hmm, I don't have a turquoise brush.
Thank you, Perry! Thanks, Gary! I do like the aluminum version although I have never tried the SS or brass so I can't compare. I didn't think I would enjoy lightweight razors but after winning a Star Bakelite from the TSD raffle donated by @Linuxguile I decided they're a nice option to have in the rotation.
I never used the head blade, but I have bought their software! I like their shave cream! I use it in the shower frequently when scraping the dome! It’s really Slick which interestingly is its name. They also make an AS called Clear that I’ve used. I always used my Krona on the dome, but rarely touch it anymore. My only sojourn with Dedicated head shaving tools was the Omnishaver which gave me ingrown hairs. That also was a cartridge shaver.
