Mer does excellent work. Wish I had some reason to it, but I saw the Progress and the first thing that came to mind was dice. It was this, or a 20 sided die to go with the geek side of me. :D

Hey Corey, how did you like that Shave-King? I don't think I ever read you say anything about it.

I'm working on it. There's some massively uneven blade exposure. Trying to figure out if it's just going to take some very steady tinkering to get the blade to seat right or if there's something bent that needs straightening. It's kind of cool to use in a sort of adjustable non-adjustable kinda way.

Damn, sorry to here that, especially after you were happy to finally land one. If there is something I can do, let me know.

It's cool man. Having it is half the fun. I woulda worked on playing with it before, but I got a few other razors in about the same time that I went through. It'll probably be like the Goodfella I have. That thing is very picky about how you seat the blade, but a little care and patience, and it turned out to be an excellent razor. Just took me a month to get back to playing with it. :happy102

Justin & Bill - the brush came in today.... it feels weird, almost synthetic in a way. It's very stiff, but the very very tips feel soft... The bristles seem thinner than my NOS Ever Ready boar... It came with 4 creams and a bottle of La Toja a/s....all I'm waiting for is my 2 bottles of Brummel.... :D Hopefully they'll be in tomorrow...

Corey, I forgot to tell you, but your razors went out yesterday...let me know when they get there...

If you have too much trouble getting it right, or want to look at another one up close, let me know and I'll have Justin mail his to you.

Just kidding of course, I'll send you mine if I can find another razor to use. ;)

Let us know how it works out for you, I have no need for one, but I just think that is a darn fine looking handle.

haha...I have no need for one either... but I've been getting such great results from my Ever Ready boar, and had heard such great things coming from the Omega boar camp that I thought maybe I'd like to try a "newer" model. I started talking to Teiste about boar brushes, and he turned me on to the Semogues (he hadn't yet received his first - the 2000).... I figured I'd go that route, everyone had an Omega it seemed...LOL

I guess I need to come up with a reason to tell momma why I need that brush. Hmmm, how does this sound? "But honey Matt, Teiste, and Justin all have one, you don't want me to be left out do you?" :(

I suppose I could send mine out for comparison sake. However, I don't know if there is anything on the head that can be adjusted...

First you are offering for me to send out razors and now using my name to get your wife to let you have a brush? Geesh!

I will wait to hear what Matt and others have to say on how it works before ordering one. At the moment, some better straights and a hone are on my want list higher than a new brush.

Edit: hmmmmmm I want the 2000 head in the 1305 handle.

Just seeing if you were paying attention! :happy102

Brushes just aren't my thing right now. I've had a new BK-4 sitting here in the case unused for over a month now, it was a late night impulse buy. I just don't think I'm gonna use it, kinda hard to justify that much money on a brush. I need to stick it in the BST forum.

I am honestly kind of afraid to buy a new brush. I know the Tweezerman is low on the price list, but my god, it's been excellent to me. Never fails to produce an excellent lather, it's stopped shedding about a week into using it, and it's broken in nicely. My fear is spending $50 on a nice brush and finding it to be not really much better than the $13 Tweezerman.

Yep, I understand completely. My little $35.00 EJ Badger has never left me wanting for more. Hence I never used the Kent.

If my 2 sons or daughter ever get to wanting a badger, it will be that Tweezerman.
