I decided to use my Blackbird OC this morning. It was a Christmas gift to myself two years ago. The start of my wet shaving Decadence. Three passes for near perfection. Awesome shave!

These Derby blades are very good but somehow I think that I still prefer the Minoras, and definitely the Astra Greens. I have this antique Mentolo soap from Tryphon Enterprises for at least fifteen years and it still performs like a champ - a little blooming brought out that lovely minty scent, it gave me fantastic lather that was rich as well as super slick with a good, strong menthol punch and very good postshave care. The Prep added its own special cooling, soothing attention, and the Fougere Santal aftershave from Reef Point not only smells beautiful, it’s icy cold. Two passes left me as smooth as a glass table top!

Today’s video is a nice Greek Christmas kalanta. (carol)

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Schick M2 Adjustable razor with a Schick Proline blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella Balsamo Dopobarba. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Ghost of Christmas Present must be upset with me for some reason and this morning there is a Saharan sun: can one be more mean?

Holiday Shave this morning with my grandfather’s Straight Razor. Something special in knowing that you’re slicing you’re self up just like your relative did over 100 yrs ago!
Well to each and all a Happy Holiday.
Not much has changed since my last note, a year older and still working over 40 hrs a week. Yes, still back at the same job I started in, in ‘66.
