The artisan is Leo Frilot. He prefers contact through FaceBook Messenger, but if you're not into FaceBook, he's permitted me to give out his mobile so non-FB users can text him. (Jusp PM me for this, if you're interested.)

Here's an album of the Captain Marvel brush. He's done several custom brushes for me and they've all exceeded my expectations. He won't do another brush exactly like a custom that he does with another customer, so you can be sure if you have a custom one done by him, there's not another one like it. He actually had some potential customers get frustrated with him because he wouldn't reproduce the Infinity brush he'd done for me. He'll make you an Infinity brush, but it won't be like mine. He views them as collaborations in which you tell him what you want, and he makes it happen. He's also very good at interpreting the customer's concepts into something concrete. The end-coins are also custom. He has someone make them for him using an image of your choosing as long as it's not something the coin-maker recognizes as copyrighted. Otherwise, as in the case of my Infinity brush, Leo can use commercial buttons or pins as long as the material is decent. Speaking of the Infinity brush, this was a concept that I came up with and he helped shape it into something doable. I wanted it to be more yellow like the original 90s comic arc. I also wanted it to incorporate some purple to represent Thanos. Then, of course I wanted the gems. I also wanted it to be rather big. I acquired the button from amazon and the gems were actually stud earrings from an Etsy seller. Leo understood there was an order to the gems that I wanted (even though they varied in the 90s comic). As an added bonus, the purple that was used has a scaley appearance that mimics Thanos' chin folds quite well. I knew going into this that this would be gaudy and novelty, but functional, but Leo understood it and went with it. He sent pics of the progress along the way and asked very specific questions and made adjustments based on my feedback. Here's an album of the Infinity brush. In my opinion, it's not so gaudy and hardly novel.

The Captain Marvel brush was a much more straight-forward endeavor. I wanted the blue to be dominant and red on top. I wanted a yellow band dividing the two. This approximates her uniform scheme. Additionally, I wanted the knot to be blonde (like her hair). I also wanted this to be a brush that fit other themes if needed. So, as you can see, there's nothing about this brush that specifically says, "Captain Marvel" until you look at the end cap with the Hala star logo. I really like the RS-400 shape, but I wanted it to be a bit longer with a thinner "waist" and to just be curvier overall. His first turn wasn't "sexy" enough, so I asked him to make those adjustments. Again, he anticipates and encourages such interaction so he makes you exactly what you want. Leo's amazing to deal with.

Too bad its soap is from Valobra: a very good soap but the scent is barely noticeable. They quite tight with scents.

    Hi Friends,

    Merry Christmas to everyone

Here is my Christmas Shave, 26.12.2019

    Pre-Shave: Coconut Oil
Razor: Occam's Razor on Plate 2
    Blade: Feather Pro Guard
    Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary
    Brush: Nightdiver's Olivewood Beehive
Aftershave: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary (Sample)

The Occam's Razor has been gifted to me from my Mom and the Soap was a gift of my wife.

So, what could be a better combo?!

A great Christmas Shave in 3 wonderful gentle passes. I will hold it short, the soap smells outstanding, performed like a champ (as it is typical for SV Soaps) and the Aftershave is Top notch too.

Have a fantastic time, enjoy your shaves and take care. SotD 26.12.2019 Forum.JPG

Would you be so kind to explain to us Yanks what Boxing Day is? I have asked all my British friends what it is, and they just laugh, and say, "It's Boxing Day." Since modern Boxing was created in Britain, would it be the day you can have mutual hand to hand combat with someone once a year without fear of being arrested? In a way it would make sense. Christmas Day you celebrate the Birth of the Saviour and love for all. The next day the jerk of the village gets his head beat in. Thus, don't be a jerk in the UK.
