Dec 27th Decedent December Razor: Cooper Monobilt Blade: Permasharp (3) Brush: Simpson X3 Best Badger PS: Stirling Menthollated Pre-Shave SS & PS: Stirling Ramblin' Man Normally today would be Fatboy Friday, but yesterday's mailcall changed that plan. Couldn't let this one wait. I'm really implessed with this Cooper. It shaves smooth, different but smooth. The hook is broken off this one, but it doesn't change how it shaves, the blade just sticks to the cap when opening the razor. Anyway, I had a great near BBS 3 pass shave with the monobilt and the alum and AS were kind.
12/27/2019 C40 Every Ready – Restored by @clint64 Timeless Shaving Bowl Gentleman Jon Shave Soap - Sandalwood Above the Tie – Kronos, R1 Plate Voskhod Blade Gentleman Jon Shave Soap – Sandalwood Pinaud After Shave Lotion I passed up the MWF soap this morning for a soap that showed up in my Christmas stocking. The Gentleman Jon’s is glycerin based and is not a bad soap. The C40 whipped up some nice lather. The soap is nice and thick and one cannot complain about the lather. It seems to lack a little in the glide department. It is not a top of the shelf soap but it is a nice soap and one that I’ll keep in the rotation. I found a nice ceramic dish to melt it into and it works out great. Completed a two-pass shave with a few touch ups. Finished it off with some Clubman. It is Friday and I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weekend!
Well, I didn't do a pic, so one out of two ain't bad. But thank you Gary-perhaps today's shave will be the turning point of more great ones to come.
@Linuxguile, that was a nice X-mas family shot. Your wife looks a little different than I recall from her "Happy Baby Dance", and I don't mean just because she's pregnant.
aaaaah, maybe it's OK for YOU, but I grew 20 years older with that "facial hair extension" (new wave for "beard".....I bet that slang doesn't last long, lol).
