I have a feeling the 1305 will become a fantastic brush. However, right now it's dismal - I got spoiled by my ER 100T boar. That took a while to break in, too. I know I just need to stick with it until it breaks in. To me the size is perfect. I've noticed in Teiste's SOTD pics that his looks broken in already, the bloom is much like that of my ER 100T so I figure maybe a week to 10 days....I'll keep you posted.

I can't get BBS without 3 passes + touching up. I've got a similar beard type and sensitive skin that requires a super sharp but super smooth blade, and I don't get more than 3 shaves from a blade, although I seem to be able to squeak a 4th out of the Super Irridiums lately (although I think I've only been doing 2 passes lately so maybe that's why...)

I know it's fun experimenting and changing things up, but try to stick with one set up for a month, or at least one soap/cream and one razor. For me, consistency was the secret to fine tuning my technique. Eliminate as many variables as possible... It will come, trust me - I thought I'd never get to where I was reading the more experienced shavers were.... Now I'm passing out advice

I think it the problem is that I am now pushing for those BBS results that I am not getting with a straight.

Oh well... off to take daughter bowling and then shopping for gift for the birthday party she is going to this weekend.

I stuck with the one razor, one balde, one cream, etc for 6 weeks when I started. If you notice my SOTDs, I have been trying to keep some things consistent through out the week. Hard to do with so much variety.

That is really sad news about fuzzy. I sent him an email letting him know he was in my thoughts and prayers. Hope he comes back eventually.
