Thanks, Clint! Much appreciated! She’s a good shaver, not up to Vector or Shake Sharp level, but still a solid performer.

    72 hours after
Christmas, I have finally had a chance to shave.
Today's soap was a gift from my darling niece, who lives in Germany. She surprised me with it on Wednesday.
Zu ihr sag' ich, vielen herzlichen Dank, meine liebe Nichte!
I don't usually go for vegan soaps, but as you can plainly see, this product lathered up very well.

It took an amazing amount of H2O, I was surprised.

Unfortunately, there are no ingredients listed, so I am pretty much in the dark
as to what I just lathered and spread all over my face.
Speick is a well-known and very popular German line of products.
When we lived there, I used to use the aftershave on occasion.
The scent reminds me of 4711, but better. Not so...pungent.
The lather was stable and provided a nice slickness and cushion for the Boker.
Post shave is above average and the scent is gone after rinsing and, in my case,
splashing on some Thayer's Medicated Witch Hazel.
Finished with the clove-heavy Ogallala which always receives the coveted
    SWMBOSOA©. :)

Wonderful shave, Paul! My next scheduled shave will be tomorrow and I already have the Stirling Spice SS and AS out on the counter. It is a wonderful scent! I have nine different Stirling soaps and I like every one of them. However, my top 3 are Piacenza, Satsuma and the Bay Rum.

Awwright, both of us will be doing Spice tomorrow! (I did it today, too). My face and neck are SLOWLY getting used to that spicy sting.

Thanks Danny, it was. A little more time is needed to "negotiate" that "spicy sting", but I'm getting there.

    Razor: Blackland Dart
    Blade: Voskhod (3)
    Brush: 30DC LE V2 synthetic
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: SV Felce Aromatica
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: SV Felce Aromatica

    Good morning!

Well, it's official. I need to do a focus with the Dart. Not sure what's going on. The shave felt harsh and the alum was pretty warm. I'm somewhat dumbfounded. The Dart has been a favorite if not the favorite from the very first use. I'll figure it out but first I want to get some more uses out of some of my newer acquisitions. At least I'm smelling pretty darn good!

    Have a great weekend! [IMG]

Wonderful shave report and photos Joseph. Congrats on the new soap. That was very nice of your niece. I hope you are enjoying the holidays.

Sorry about the Dart Jim. At least the photo is excellent. I am sure you'll get it figured out shortly.

It was real bad last winter.....I'm glad it's a little better now. Perhaps the sting persuasion is all about the amount splashed on????? Or does it pertain to shaking the bottle some prior to use?(that is....the less of the shake, the less the sting occurs).
