    December 29 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette British Aristocrat #66
    Blade: Voskhod
    Brush: Thater 4125/4
    Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Bourbon
    Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Bourbon

    This is about as Decedent as I can get. My special occasion razor, one of my best brushes, and some Wholly Kaw soap. Two passes and DFS. My skin feels soft and supple. Just a lovely shave. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    Good morning, guys!
    Shavette Shave #122
    Dovo Shavette
    Polsilver 1/2 DE (7)
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Nivea ASB not pictured
    Keeping with the holiday spirit, I decided to use Stirling Spice. It really is a nice scent. The Stirling brush and soap produced a nice lather. Did 2 passes and touchups for a very smooth, comfortable shave that I would grade as a near BBS. The blade was near the end of its usefulness so I didn't want to push it. Binned the blade afterwards. Finished the shave with the aftershave and balm. Overall, I enjoyed the shave because I took a little more time with it. Anyways, this is the last straight shave of the year. My last shave will be on New Year's Eve and have decided to use one of my Fatboy's. I figured to end the year in classic style. Have a nice Sunday, guys! 20191229_094150.jpg 20191229_094150.jpg

    Thanks, Terry! I don’t collect to just look at them. Every safety razor I own I shave with! Sometimes just once, which will probably be the case with this razor. :)

    Finally consumed enough coffee to shave & shower. The Evo tore through the Eleven DFS soap whipping up a mountain of rich slick lather. I really like the Evo and hope Omega makes some other handle options. Loaded a new Feather Pro in the Enoch for its maiden voyage. From the first stroke you get the blade feel. The razor reminds me of a Cobra Classic plus. The angle was very easy to find and maintain. Three passes and touch ups ended with the baby in hand. A splash of the matching aftershave left me smelling good and feeling great. I am off to work for several hours before going out tonight for Asha's birthday. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    Thanks, Jim! Of all the razors I’ve shaved with this month, this one is clearly at the bottom, but you guys were right, when there’s an issue good shave technique pulls you through! In this case riding the cap saved my bacon, or should I say, my face and noggin!
