I soak mine in a shaving mug with water 2/3 of the way up the bristles while I shower. I shake out the excess and load the soap like it owes me money and is 60 days past due. I have found that this helps me have enough soap to face lather. Boar brushes seem to release the lather so quickly for me that I have to load more soap on the front end. My Zenith was pretty well broken in from the start but did get better after 7-10 uses. I hope you get it sorted out.

 

Inspired by one of @Jayaruh ’s recent shaves, I was thinking of reaching for my Paketa. Instead, I saw this 1970s Russian Utro that I hadn’t used in forever. Seeing the smile on it was icing on the cake.

It's a cold and rainy Sunday night in the Lou. Time for a shave to wrap up the day. Three days left in December, 2019, and the Decade. Wow. So, I figured I'd finish it out with the Toggle. How's that for a decadent touch to the end? Pair it with a Sharp Star to raise that decadence meter, and I chose Ozark Mountain for that unbelievable lather and scent all brought to life with a big Rooney Silvertip. It's enough to make a planeload of Russians defect. Three passes of smooth and slick goodness and I'm as smooth as I was the day I was born. No complaints, blood or other worries.

Two more days left! 2020 is about here and with it - another year of 30DC history goes in the books!!! Let's make it a great couple of days before we welcome the New Year in!
