    Decadent December!!!

    December 29

    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9)
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
    Soap - Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Brush - Rooney Silvertip
    Post - Alum

It's a cold and rainy Sunday night in the Lou. Time for a shave to wrap up the day. Three days left in December, 2019, and the Decade. Wow. So, I figured I'd finish it out with the Toggle. How's that for a decadent touch to the end? Pair it with a Sharp Star to raise that decadence meter, and I chose Ozark Mountain for that unbelievable lather and scent all brought to life with a big Rooney Silvertip. It's enough to make a planeload of Russians defect. Three passes of smooth and slick goodness and I'm as smooth as I was the day I was born. No complaints, blood or other worries.

Two more days left! 2020 is about here and with it - another year of 30DC history goes in the books!!! Let's make it a great couple of days before we welcome the New Year in!

Yes, I am ready for the new year! My very first shave is already planned. I will be using one of my vintage C-Mon straights with my new C-Mon Heritage Badger brush. I will be using the Cryogen soap and matching aftershave per jgreenepa's request. Here are my 2 C-Mon razors and my C-Mon brush. 20191216_163337.jpg 20191216_163337.jpg

Thanks, Gary! I can't wait to use my new brush! I had it soaking on 2 separate occasions in a solution of dishwashing liquid for 48 hours to help with the break-in! The bristles already have a nice bloom.

I’m really not doing a very good job of keeping up on here this week! Lots of fun family stuff as well as an overnight trip to stay with friends on Tuesday. Not looking forward to going back to work later this week.
2nd use of this Occam’s Razor, which came generously from @jluc this week. Switched up and went with the ‘middle’ plate to mow down almost 60 hrs worth. Perhaps the longest I have gone between shaves in quite some time. After 3 passes, I am quite smooth with just a bit of neck irritation. Everything else worked as it should and it was a very nice shave.
    Have a great week all!

That is a lot of bling! Very shinny!

Even if it is RSO it does look cool especially with your initials.

That does look bucolic and restful. The exact opposite of where I am, it would be fun to spend a week like that.

    That is very decadent!

Clint, I have an early gen Cobra Classic, it is tied for my favorite safety razor. I would love to have a back up for it but have not found a viable option..... Is the Enoch a viable back up for the Cobra????

That looks like an excellent shave.

Sunday Shave: I always enjoy this big 7/8 full hollow Dorko, a relaxing Sunday shave except...... I could not find my Tabac EDC, very strange disappearance.
