I got this brush in the mail today. It is my christmas gift from my mother. It has a 26mm SHD HMW. I absolutely love the brush.

Heritage Collection makes marvelous replicas of vintage brushes. I recently bought a C-Mon 77-4 that matches with my 2 C-Mon and my Friodur straights. 20191216_163337.jpg 20200102_195208.jpg 20191216_163337.jpg 20200102_195208.jpg

I have a C-MON brush that was and wasn't from heritage collection. The person who makes the brushes had a flawed one and I got it for 5 bucks with a silvertip knot. 20191222_085046_compress77.jpg 20191222_085141_compress79.jpg 20191222_085137_compress82.jpg 20191222_085126_compress64.jpg 20191222_085118_compress38.jpg 20191222_085155_compress83.jpg

Am I correct in stating that you have 2 different C-Mon brushes? One is from Heritage Collection and one isn't. If so, which one had the flaw and what was wrong with the brush?

Looks like an air bubble or a pigment issue in the red handled brush, near the ivory top section. See second picture.

Edit: looks like an air bubble got trapped between the two sections when he was putting the handle together.

I do love the look of these brushes. Have you had a chance to use it yet? I haven’t seen much in the way of reviews on the knots, and I noticed they recently moved to these SHD knot options so I’m interested to hear what you think of it.

I freaking love it. First use once soaked it is so soft. I would say the tips are very similar to tuxedo knot but with more backbone.

Best looking brushes I've seen and affordable to boot. Congratulations. :bounce017:

From heritage collection they are very good price. They are wonderful brushes. I am so happy to have both of mine but more so the new one as black and lime green are my favorite color combos.

Lovely handles. What shall we call these- "authentic fakes?" Although I suppose to be truly faithful to the originals they'd probably all have boar bristle knots, wouldn't they?

Not at all. Some would come with those dreadful white first generation nylon bristles too.

Not seeing any of the originals looking this good. I would call these clones an excellent example of what can be done when you pay respect to the past and bring it to the present.
