Actually, Joe, I did shave both face and dome with Cryogen soap and finished with their AS on January 1.

    • Razor: MMOC and SS gem blade (3rd shave)
    • Pre shave: I have an old bottle of shave secret that I was going to toss, but thought I'd try it as a Pre shave oil (I'm just so darned cheap)
    • Soap: I brought Christmas Eve with me as a shower soap, but I just couldn't resist--best pine-based scent ever!
    • Brush: I've only got the one--KONG!

Kind of a miracle shave. The hotel clock was 45 minutes behind (thank you, youngest touch-everything child), so I was cruising the forum when my wife informed me that I had 30 minutes to be ready for church--rushed MMOC shaves have not treated me well in the past. Very quick 2 pass shave and surprisingly forgiving considering I didn't shave yesterday, I used an older blade, and was throwing caution to the wind time-wise.

This is my first time using Shave Secret as a pre shave, and it may have played a part in my good fortune. I'll try that again in the future and see if I get similar results.

I'll be honest, I'm in complete awe of head-shaving wet shavers (especially with straights)--gurus with blades :smiley respect:

Nice shave Terry! Do things ever slow down? I've been participating in 30DC for 4 months now and I've never been able to read all the posts in a day. I have to skim and just read the ones with pretty pictures that catch my eye.

Wow Charlie! You don't mess around. I'll add Ford vs Chevy (I drive a Ram BTW) and for those really in for a debate, 1911 vs Glock.

Thanks, Tim, but this was my second go-round with Cryogen, and my first was not very successful. The second time I got through the shave with no real issue.

Thanks guys. I brought my DSLR on vacation. It's "auto everything" and a little more forgiving.
Thanks Evan! It's all in good fun. :)

    I'm a Toyota guy, BTW.

Great shave Tim. A quick blood free shave with the MMOC is a real accomplishment.

I start feeling the need for a trim around six weeks. My Bride leans more toward five weeks, so that's usually when we both go. We go to a "beauty shop" in a small town. I'm usually the only guy there, but they do have free coffee and gun magazines in the waiting area. Anytime I make an unrealistic haircut request, our gal informs me that she's a stylist, not a miracle worker. ;)

Years ago, my Bride's dear mom had her miniature schnauzer trimmed every six weeks. Every time Max got a trim, I figured it was time for me too.

I just had to celebrate the wonderful state of KY with the shave. Now I am celebrating the state with an appropriate adult beverage. ;)

What bourbon are you enjoying, and which distillery did you tour, Clint?

One of our friends coming to visit later this month is bringing Angel's Envy. I haven't tried that one. I'm a casual sipper, not serious by any means, but Four Roses Single Barrel is my overall favorite. My sister shared some Woodford Reserve Double Oaked with me over the holidays. It paired well with chocolate and the good fruit cake made in Kentucky's bourbon country. This fruitcake is not Weight Watchers approved, but it has earned the @Edison Carter Kentuckysylvania® product endorsement.

    Thanks Evan!

    Apparently.....
Things slow down on the 30DC as much as they slow down here at my place.
So don't expect much "slowing down".

I am enjoying Bulleit tonight. We toured Pepper's distillery in downtown Lexington. I want to go back and tour some of the larger distilleries during 2020. I have finished a bottle of Angel's Envy. It is finished off in port wine barrels that gives it a unique finish.
