    January 7 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette '48-'50 SS
    Blade: Voskhod
    Brush: PAA The Solar Flare
    Lather: PAA Solstice
    Aftershave: PAA Solstice

Solstice got the call today, and it set up a nice shave. Sage and cedar with just a touch of rose. It is a nice scent and I enjoy it when I use it. I hope everyone has a great day!

It will be interesting to know. Evan's @MrEE plating job just brought the razor to another level.

Oh, and that's another PAA scent I don't have. Between the three of us we probably have most of their scents covered.

It is a fun razor and it looks cool. Size wise it is a monster so I feel all macho after I use it. At 130 degrees he should have no problem with lather breaking down. Glad to see we are spreading our hobby.

Another very good shave today. The SOC loaded and lathered the R4L with ease. I went with a traditional 3 pass shave followed by touch ups and buffing my lower right neck. I ended with a BBS shave but had one weeper on my chin and one on the right corner of my mouth. A splash of R4L AS and a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver EdT left me smelling good. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Based on what crossed the 30DC thread yesterday about JoHS and a revival via 3rd parties.....not interested anymore. Just have to go for the real Tom Ford version someday ;), or keep sampling artisan vendors offering Tabacco Vanilla (or similar) blends. I've compiled a list over time of ones mentioned in this thread (and others). There are plenty options...and I've only a handful so far!:happy097:

Cool. I am really enjoying the Enoch. I have found I have to ride the bar more than the cap. My Occam's Hiram razor shipped yesterday so I guess I know what next week will be.

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: Trac II cartridge
    Razor: Surrey Trac II
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Soap: Stirling Gentleman
Post: Witch hazel, WSP Tobacco aftershave

Nifty shave with the Surrey set. Outstanding lather and easy shaving with the Surrey handle and Trac II cartridge. No complaints, no weepers, no problems. Can't beat that.

    Enjoy your day!

    Terrific shaves, Terry!

Very nice, Jim! The crazy number of bay rum choices from PAA is staggering.

Great picture and shave, Perry! I really like the matching set!
    Thanks!
Off the top of my head the only one I can think that I don't have is the Coconut. I'm sure there are more that I'm not remembering or not aware of.

Thank you, Jim! I am slowly coming to the realization that the three of us have probably provided a significant chunk of revenue for PAA.
