hey everybody...busy day today...

Walked the dog, toured a small local candy factory, went to Harrisburg and picked up a hone at Woodcraft, hit an antique store up there and found a whole lotta stuff....

I'm whooped, I need to stop getting to bed so late...got coffee brewing right now...:eatdrink013

Hello everyone. A few friends and I have the bug to do some relatively affordable traveling. Anyone got any suggestions?

 

Affordable travel....hmmm.... is that one of those things like Military Intelligence, or larger half? an oxymoron? :happy102

Really, I have no idea.... maybe just go to the beach? How far are you from it?

Affordable travel is doable. We've got a 5 day all inclusive trip to Cancun in the works that'll be about $700, airfare included. That's our level of "affordable" right now. The beach is 6 miles from my house. That kinda eliminates the vacation feel.

 

I look at that and think that would be a pair of nice straights.. Of course, I did just drop $200 for theater tickets... So what do I know about anything?

 

I used to do a lot of traveling, but in the last few years, I've been pretty stationary. I have a lot of great memories and experiences from all the places I've been. I'm really missing the hell outta that. I need to figure out how to travel professionally, without being on a stupid tv show.

 

I'm not quite sure what you do, except that you seem to do it in an ER... but would travel nursing be an option? If so, PM IsaacRN here, I believe that's what he does...

 

Not a nurse, but I will be starting the RN program next year when I finish the prerequisites. That's actually an option I've looked in to. I was hoping you'd know of somewhere that'll just pay me to vacation. Do those jobs exist beyond the fantasy land of tv? :happy102

Just a quick howdy do before I hit the road for Spokane. Movers will be at the old homestead at 8 tomorrow morning. Wife is there already, but she heard from the doctor today that she's got pneumonia. Yikes... :sick007 :sad029

Anyway, I may be scarce for a day or four. I'll try to check in when possible. Don't talk about me and Bong's pens behind my back.
