Thank you Jason. I used the Feather Super Pro blades with the Mongoose all the time. The Super Pro blades work well for me in the General V1 as well. In both of those cases the shaves were closer and with fewer passes. If that's the case, I find it to be a fair trade for the increase in aggression. However, if I am not being rewarded I don't see the need to step up blade gap and feel for basically the same shave.

All knives should slice tomatoes thin, of of my tests.

Do you freehand or use an angle guide for knives?

:) The meetups seem interesting to me. I'd never have considered something like that previously, but I'm to the point where I may combine a meetup with a weekend trip with my wife. For those of us who travel for work, airline miles make traveling a lot cheaper. However, I haven't traveled in 6 months due to a budget freeze so who knows if that will even be a thing. I say that, but I may be going to San Jose in 2 weeks. Any good shave shops in San Jose?

It's not the travel cost, Jim. It's the many and varied costs incurred during and after the shave meetup that concern your Bride. She is obviously a woman of exceptional intelligence. As they say in my neck of the woods, she's got your number, Bud! ;)

I'm actually trying to think of a 'classic' scent that people feel the modern/reformulated version by the same company is a better version of. Can't think of one. Anyone have one they can think of? If anyone says 'Clubman', I shudder to think of what the old version smelled like...

Another stunner, Doug! Looks beautiful there by the water.
Great job on the Slim, Evan! I have Ramblin Man in a shampoo bar. Haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll use it next.

PAA has some colorful and creative labeling, but I'm not crazy about some of the messaging or the images. No doubt that their products are very good. I'm probably in the minority, but they're just not for me. Same goes for B&M products.

If you use alum, check out Crystal Mineral Deodorant. I recently picked up a stick from Amazon. It travels well, and it's easier to apply than alum in "bar" form. It's my new "go to" product.

Thank you for the kind words, Gentlemen.
Tim- the Florida Water is some good, cheap stink! I took good advice from Clint a few years ago and usually put Glycerin in any AS that doesn't have something similar in the ingredients.
