Good evening, gents!
This afternoon, I decided to shave my head with Cremo and used the recently gifted G E Jones Shake Sharp by Jeff,@ jgreenepa. I got a wonderful BBS headshave. Although I have to do more cleanup than usual, it is very difficult to cut yourself with this razor. This razor is in my top tier for headshaving. Tonight, I didn't want to hold off shaving until tomorrow because I might get called in to work and that makes one less morning ritual for me.
1955 Gillette RedTip (Birthyear)
Rockwell DE Blade (4)
Rockwell Synthetic Brush
Stirling Piacenza SS and AS
Nivea ASB not pictured
Rocky delivered a nice lather and I was ready to shave. I love the Piacenza scent, but somehow it has lost its strength and the scent has changed in that it isn't as sweet smelling as when it was new. I don't have an explanation for it, but I can still live with this soap. A two pass shave gave me an uber BBS shave without any red flow or irritation. Applied the matching aftershave and followed with the Nivea to top this shave. It was a nice relaxing shave. Have a great night, guys! View attachment 214723 View attachment 214723

Got the Neo-Ras working ok and decided to run with a different pack of wolves today. A little single edge razor called a Dandy Shaver. It uses a special blade, but if you remove the spline and cut off about 1/8 inch from the side of a Personna GEM blade it, fits just fine.
It doesn't have a proper cap ti ride so to speak, but you still have to run this tool like it does. Looking at it would give you the false impression that it's a heavy hitter, then the first few strokes reveles it's just not, just a mild little blade holder.
Two passes both head and face, I'm clean and smooth, although not great, it's still a fine shave needing some touch up on the chin and head.

Three operator induced weepers this morning. Two above the lip and one on the chin. I rarely draw blood and did it three times this morning, all on the second pass. The alum only sparked in those spots and the end result is the usual near BBS. Tomorrow's another day and another shave.

Thursday shave: No time this morning for hot lather shave because last night I joined a friend for a drink. We were celebrating his birthday and he received a gift of three big Cohiba cigars. So we went to a cigar bar and enjoyed the stogies and an adult beverage.

My shave was with a Riga Razor and think this blade has the sharpest edge of all my razors. The Stirling did its part in the play and the result was an epic shave.

Halfway through the week and it's time to shave! Back to the Soap Commander Courage for another 5 shaves as I use it up. I switched to the New LC with a Rapira Super Stainless. The JR46 is a great looking and functioning brush that made lather like it was going out of style. Three full passes, all great and smooth and very effective, leaves the baby in the house and me a happy camper. Quiet alum so it's perfect all around! Thursday awaits next and we're on that downhill slide to the weekend. Enjoy!

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum
Razor: Schick L5 'Revere'
Brush: JR #377 badger
Soap: Stirling Blood on Steel
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Blood on Steel aftershave

Easy shave again this morning with an injector and Stirling soap. Comfortable process all around. I quite enjoy easy workday shaves. Still working through all my soaps from the least used to more frequently used. Identifying something to titanic or to get part ways with is my main focus.

He was working with the gentleman on this site, so that was legitimate. Since my No Buy is over, I may order a couple of aftershaves your match the soaps I have. I’ll let everyone know how that goes.

Edit: he doesn’t have the scents I want so maybe not now.

It really depends. The more highly polished the finish, the more you see every imperfection. I start with 4 hours tumbling in stainless steel pins. That is enough for a factory quality finish. Gillette didn't spend a lot of time polishing. Beyond that I have a polishing wheel I put in my CNC spindle. I can polish all the flat areas with that in a few minutes. If the razor has a lot of pitting and issues they look better with more of a mat finish.

Honestly on most of the Superspeeds I have done I just spend about 5 min polishing the doors.
