since day one sir..its a gimmick..cut the safety bar off a tech and its the same..but i like the nostalgia and it is historically important..

I've heard people talk of getting 30+ shaves out of a single blade, but I've never even come close. So far, I keep going back to the Voskhod. 100 packs go for about $8 on Amazon and I get about 3 to 4 shaves out of each. That works out to about $8 per year. The SE blades I've used cost me about $.40 each. Even if you can get 30 shaves out of each that still works out to $4.80. Is the extra time spent stropping blades worth $3.20 per year? Feels kind of like driving across town to save $.02 per gallon on gas.

I try to keep Natalia out of view of newbies like @timabababaluka for at least their initial 90 days in the Crew. Besides, he might be her type and then I have to deal with the potential HR issues here at Cartel HQ. YOU try explaining to her that not every man appreciates her particular set of, ummmmm, skills.

Moving right along with the second shave on the New LC and Rapira SS blade. Sticking with the Soap Commander as I continue to use it up, and I'll just switch from one @Jayaruh brush to another. The JR230 is up today and it's a small but soap killing brush! This little beauty turned the Soap Commander into a whipped cream consistency in about 2.8 seconds. Love the inlay work and it's definitely a top notch member in my collection. The blade and razor continue to be just as smooth as silk. The Rapira is probably the best blade for its price anywhere. Sharper and smoother than Derby, which would be in about the same price range. Very nice.

I see a lot of activity on here today so I'll be working my way through. One thing about this bunch - you give me something to do when I finally get home! I wouldn't have it any other way! Have a great Friday and start to the weekend!
