    madmedic Resistance Is Futile

    I actually do have a bag/box of that. It's the single edge formulation and I agree...it is very good....but I have a problem. I try to match scents of soap and fragrance and I could buy a very large bottle of Proraso Red AND the Red shaving cream for less than the cost of the Wood and Spice Cologne on its own. I have scottish genes (somewhere) and my brain goes into meltdown if I try to alter the definition of 'Value for Money'.

    A little Pre de Provence for Friday. Nice, comfortable, and very close shave with the Fine Marvel and a Personna Red blade. Excellent tunes too from my buddy Jean Sibelius on a cold, crisp, and very Finnish-feeling morning here in Iowa.

    Pre-shave: Hot towel
    Razor: Fine Accoutrements Marvel
    Blade: Personna Red (#2)
    Bowl: Fine Accoutrements Ceramic Lather Bowl
    Soap: Pre de Provence No. 63
    Aftershave: Pre de Provence No. 63 balm
    Tunes: Jean Sibelius, Finlandia and Karelia Suite

    Thanks for your comment on the time involved (5minutes). Most comments on here boil down to, "I wave my brush near the puck to load it, then swirl once around the bowl, for enough lather for fifteen passes."

    Razor : Pal injecto-matic- MFG 1952>
    Blade : Schick injector (6)
    Soap : Gillette Pure
    Brush : Razorock Noir 400
    Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
    Prep : Cold water rinse face after each pass of 3.
    Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
    Results:CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [​IMG]

    My first shave in 2020. I took a break from shaving for a bit, last shaved Christmas eve. Needed to use a good OC to knock down 2+ weeks of growth and picked my Leresche #54.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
